All amounts are stated in Vietnamese Dong (VND). The University Lecturer shall be compensated in accordance with the salary structure approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for public university staff. Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the account specified above.

3. Terms and Conditions

3.1	This Purchase Order constitutes a formal engagement agreement for the University Lecturer to provide academic and research services at Ho Chi Minh City University of Science and Technology. The University Lecturer agrees to perform all duties in full compliance with the academic standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the internal regulations of the university.
3.2	The University Lecturer shall report to the Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences. All teaching, research, and administrative activities shall be conducted on the university campus located in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, unless prior written approval is granted for remote or off-site work.
3.3	Payment shall be made in monthly instalments of VND 31,350,000 (inclusive of VAT), due on the last working day of each month. The first payment shall be processed no later than 10 September 2025. Late payments shall incur a penalty of 0.05% per day as stipulated under Vietnamese commercial law.
3.4	The University Lecturer is required to maintain valid professional qualifications, including a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Mathematics or a closely related discipline, and a teaching licence recognised by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training. Failure to maintain these qualifications shall constitute grounds for immediate termination of this Purchase Order.
3.5	Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 30 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the University Lecturer shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination, and all university property, including research data, teaching materials, and access credentials, must be returned within 7 working days.
3.6	All intellectual property produced by the University Lecturer during the term of this Purchase Order, including research papers, course materials, and software developed using university resources in Ho Chi Minh City, shall be jointly owned by the University Lecturer and Ho Chi Minh City University of Science and Technology, subject to a separate intellectual property agreement.
3.7	This Purchase Order shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, including the 2019 Civil Code, the 2014 Law on Higher Education, and applicable tax regulations of Ho Chi Minh City. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through negotiation, and failing that, through the competent People's Court in Ho Chi Minh City.
3.8	The University Lecturer shall comply with all health, safety, and data protection regulations applicable in Ho Chi Minh City. Personal data of students and colleagues shall be handled in strict accordance with Vietnam's 2023 Law on Personal Data Protection.
