Thank you for your request for a Quotation Estimate regarding the engagement of a qualified Academic Researcher to support the Faculty of Arts & Sciences at the University of Colombo. We are pleased to present this detailed Quotation Estimate for the provision of Academic Researcher services tailored to the academic and institutional requirements within Sri Lanka Colombo. The Academic Researcher engaged under this Quotation Estimate will operate primarily within the Sri Lanka Colombo metropolitan area and its surrounding academic institutions. The scope encompasses the following activities:
- Conducting original, peer-reviewed academic research in the fields of South Asian history, cultural studies, and socio-economic development relevant to Sri Lanka Colombo and the broader island nation.
- Supervising postgraduate (MPhil and PhD) students at the University of Colombo and affiliated institutions in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- Authoring and co-authoring a minimum of three (3) journal articles in internationally indexed publications during the contract period.
- Delivering a minimum of two (2) keynote presentations at national and international academic conferences held in or related to Sri Lanka Colombo.
- Providing methodological guidance and statistical analysis support to junior faculty members at the client institution.
- Contributing to the development of a new research centre focused on Sri Lankan heritage and contemporary urban studies in Sri Lanka Colombo.

- This Quotation Estimate constitutes a formal offer for the services of a qualified Academic Researcher and is binding upon written acceptance by the client within the validity period stated above.
- Payment terms: 30% advance upon signing of the service agreement; 40% upon completion of the sixth (6th) month; 30% upon final delivery and acceptance of all deliverables by the client institution in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- The Academic Researcher shall be required to maintain academic integrity, adhere to the ethical guidelines of the University of Colombo, and comply with all applicable Sri Lankan higher education regulations.
- All intellectual property produced by the Academic Researcher during the term of this engagement shall be jointly owned by the client institution and the Academic Researcher, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- The Academic Researcher shall submit a comprehensive monthly progress report to the designated contact person at the client's Sri Lanka Colombo office by the 5th business day of each subsequent month.
- Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all services rendered up to the termination date as per this Quotation Estimate.
- This Quotation Estimate does not include costs for international travel beyond the two (2) conferences specified in Item 4. Any additional travel for the Academic Researcher shall be quoted separately.
- All disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Sri Lanka Colombo in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Sri Lanka.
- The Academic Researcher shall be provided with a dedicated workspace, internet access, and necessary academic resources at the client's premises in Sri Lanka Colombo.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of the Academic Researcher as described herein. The terms and conditions outlined above shall govern the professional relationship between the parties for the duration of the engagement in Sri Lanka Colombo.
