The Academic Researcher will be responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on a mixed-methods research project examining rural-urban migration patterns, household economic resilience, and access to public health services across the Kampala Metropolitan Area and adjacent regions including Wakiso, Mukono, and Kampala Central Division.

The engagement period is estimated at fourteen (14) weeks, commencing on 1 August 2025 and concluding on 24 October 2025, subject to mutual agreement and project milestones. All deliverables will conform to the academic standards expected by peer-reviewed institutions operating in Uganda Kampala and will be submitted in both hard copy and digital formats.

• Advance Payment (30%): UGX 30,415,680 – due within 7 working days of acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and execution of the service agreement.
• Milestone Payment (40%): UGX 40,554,240 – due upon completion of field data collection and submission of the interim progress report (Week 10).
• Final Payment (30%): UGX 30,415,680 – due upon delivery and acceptance of the final research report, data sets, and all supporting documentation.

All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account of Kampala Research & Academic Consultancy Ltd. at Stanbic Bank Uganda, Kampala Branch. Cheques are not accepted. Late payments shall attract a penalty of 2% per month as stipulated under the Uganda Contracts Act.

• This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, rates may be revised to reflect changes in the Uganda Kampala economic environment, exchange rates, or operational costs.
• The Academic Researcher shall maintain full professional confidentiality of all data, findings, and proprietary information encountered during the engagement in Uganda Kampala.
• All research activities shall comply with the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) guidelines, the Data Protection and Privacy Act (2019), and the ethical standards of the host institution.
• Intellectual property rights in the final research outputs shall be jointly held by the client and the Academic Researcher, as detailed in the separate Service Level Agreement.
• Force majeure events, including but not limited to civil unrest, pandemic restrictions, or government-imposed travel bans in Uganda Kampala, shall extend the project timeline proportionally without additional cost.
• Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through mediation in Kampala, Uganda, in accordance with the Arbitration Act (Cap 72) of Uganda.
• This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have signed and exchanged executed copies of the formal Service Agreement.

By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate for Academic Researcher services in Uganda Kampala and agrees to the terms, conditions, and cost structure outlined herein. The Academic Researcher engagement shall commence only upon receipt of the advance payment and full execution of the Service Agreement.
