This Quotation Estimate is issued by Stellar Performances & Talent Agency (Pty) Ltd in response to the formal request from Meridian Productions (Pty) Ltd for the professional engagement of a principal Actor for a feature-length film production scheduled to take place across multiple locations in South Africa Johannesburg, including but not limited to the Sandton CBD, the historic District Six heritage site in the inner city, and the outdoor set at the Johannesburg Film Studios complex on Rivonia Road.
The Actor to be engaged under this Quotation Estimate is a seasoned, SAGSA-registered performer with over fifteen years of professional experience in South African theatre, television, and cinema. The Actor will be required to portray the lead role of "Sipho Mthembu" in the feature film Ubuntu Rising, a drama exploring post-apartheid social dynamics set in the Johannesburg township and CBD areas. The engagement period spans a principal photography schedule of twenty-two (22) shooting days, with an additional five (5) days allocated for rehearsals, table reads, and on-set preparation.

Payment against this Quotation Estimate shall be structured as follows:
- 30% deposit (ZAR 247,775.55) due upon signature of the Actor engagement contract, no later than 14 days prior to the first rehearsal date.
- 40% progress payment (ZAR 330,367.40) due upon completion of principal photography (end of Day 22).
- 30% final balance (ZAR 247,775.55) due within fourteen (14) business days following completion of all post-production ADR sessions and publicity obligations.
All payments shall be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the agency's designated bank account. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 2% per month, calculated on the outstanding balance, in accordance with the Late Payment of Interest Act 3 of 2003 (South Africa).
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Thereafter, all rates and availability of the Actor are subject to reconfirmation.
- The Actor's engagement is governed by a separate, binding contract to be executed by both parties. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a contract of employment but rather a formal proposal for services.
- All work performed by the Actor shall take place within the geographical boundaries of South Africa Johannesburg and its immediate metropolitan area, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any travel beyond a 50 km radius of the Johannesburg CBD will be billed at an additional rate of ZAR 18.50 per kilometre.
- The Actor shall be available for a minimum of ten (10) hours per shooting day, with overtime compensated at 1.5x the daily rate for hours 11–14 and 2x the daily rate for hours beyond 14:00.
- The production company (Meridian Productions) shall provide comprehensive public liability insurance covering the Actor for the duration of the engagement, with a minimum cover of ZAR 10,000,000.
- All intellectual property rights in the final film, including the Actor's performance, shall vest in the production company upon full and final payment, subject to the Actor's moral rights as protected under the Copyright Act 98 of 1978 (South Africa).
- The Actor reserves the right to withdraw from this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice prior to the first rehearsal date, in which case the 30% deposit shall be retained by the agency as a cancellation fee.
- This Quotation Estimate is subject to the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising herein shall be resolved by arbitration in Johannesburg in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA).
- All personal data processed in connection with this Quotation Estimate shall be handled in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
By signing below, the Client acknowledges and accepts the terms, conditions, and pricing set forth in this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of the Actor as described herein. This acceptance does not constitute a final contract until the separate Actor engagement agreement has been executed by both parties.
