1. Introduction and Purpose of This Quotation Estimate
This Quotation Estimate is formally issued by Equatorial BioSciences Consulting Ltd. in response to the request for professional biological assessment services in the Kinshasa metropolitan region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The scope of work centers on the deployment of a qualified Biologist and a supporting field team to conduct comprehensive biodiversity surveys, ecological monitoring, and environmental impact assessments across designated zones within DR Congo Kinshasa. This document itemizes all anticipated costs, deliverables, timelines, and conditions governing the engagement, and it serves as the binding financial proposal upon acceptance by the client.
2. Scope of Services – Biologist Engagement in DR Congo Kinshasa
The Biologist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall be a certified ecologist with a minimum of ten (10) years of field experience in Central African tropical ecosystems. The professional scope includes, but is not limited to, the following activities conducted within the Kinshasa urban and peri-urban landscape of DR Congo:
- Full-spectrum biodiversity inventory of flora and fauna across the Malempa wetland system, the Congo River shoreline (Kinshasa stretch), and the remaining gallery forest corridors in the communes of Kalamu, Ngaliema, and Limete.
- Water quality and aquatic ecology monitoring of the Congo River at six (6) designated sampling stations, including macroinvertebrate analysis, algal bloom assessment, and heavy-metal bioaccumulation testing in native fish species.
- Avian population census and migratory bird tracking using standardized point-count and transect methods, with particular attention to species listed on the IUCN Red Data List relevant to the DR Congo Kinshasa region.

4. Project Timeline
The Biologist-led engagement is scheduled over a period of three (3) calendar months, commencing on 1 September 2025 and concluding on 30 November 2025. Fieldwork in the Kinshasa wetlands and river zones will be concentrated during the dry season to maximize accessibility and data reliability. The final EIA report and all deliverables shall be submitted to the client no later than 15 December 2025.
5. Terms and Conditions
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for sixty (60) days from the date of issue. Any acceptance beyond this period requires written reconfirmation of pricing by Equatorial BioSciences Consulting Ltd.
- Payment terms: 30% advance upon contract signature, 40% upon completion of fieldwork (end of Month 2), and 30% upon delivery and acceptance of the final report. All payments shall be made in US Dollars via bank transfer to the company account in Kinshasa, DR Congo.
- The Biologist and field team shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Democratic Republic of Congo, including the Environmental Code (Loi n° 11/001 du 20 janvier 2011) and Kinshasa municipal by-laws.
- All data, specimens, and intellectual property generated under this engagement shall remain the property of the client. The Biologist retains the right to publish anonymized scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals with prior written consent from the client.
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to civil unrest, severe flooding of the Congo River, or public health emergencies in DR Congo Kinshasa, shall suspend the project timeline without penalty to either party.
- Any change in scope beyond the items listed in Section 3 shall be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate issued in writing before additional work commences.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a contract until countersigned by both parties and the advance payment has been received.
6. Acceptance and Authorization
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate for Biologist services in DR Congo Kinshasa and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein. Equatorial BioSciences Consulting Ltd. confirms its availability to commence the engagement upon receipt of the advance payment.
