2. Scope of Services – Biologist Engagement in Ivory Coast Abidjan

This Quotation Estimate is issued by Tropical EcoSciences Consulting Ltd. to provide comprehensive professional services rendered by a qualified Biologist for the environmental impact assessment and biodiversity monitoring programme located in Ivory Coast Abidjan. The Biologist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Biology, or a closely related discipline, with no fewer than eight (8) years of documented field experience in West African tropical ecosystems. The Biologist will be based in Ivory Coast Abidjan for the full duration of the contract and will report directly to the project management team.

The scope of work for the Biologist in Ivory Coast Abidjan encompasses the following key deliverables: baseline biodiversity surveys of the coastal mangrove ecosystems and terrestrial habitats surrounding the project site; species identification and population census of flora and fauna; environmental impact assessment (EIA) biological component preparation; development of a biodiversity management and mitigation plan; quarterly monitoring reports; and final ecological restoration recommendations. All fieldwork will be conducted in and around the Ivory Coast Abidjan metropolitan area and its surrounding natural reserves, in strict compliance with Ivorian environmental legislation and the CITES regulations applicable in the region.

4. Payment Terms

Payment against this Quotation Estimate shall be made in three (3) instalments via bank transfer to the account of Tropical EcoSciences Consulting Ltd., Bank of Ivory Coast, Abidjan branch:

Instalment 1 (40%): XOF 14,457,360 – due upon signature and acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, prior to commencement of the Biologist's fieldwork in Ivory Coast Abidjan.
Instalment 2 (35%): XOF 12,650,190 – due upon submission and approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment Biological Component and the Biodiversity Management Plan.
Instalment 3 (25%): XOF 9,035,850 – due upon delivery of the final ecological restoration report and completion of all monitoring activities.

5. Terms and Conditions

This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be revised due to currency fluctuation or changes in regulatory requirements in Ivory Coast Abidjan.
The Biologist named under this Quotation Estimate shall not be substituted without prior written consent from the Client. Any replacement must hold equivalent or superior qualifications and experience in West African biodiversity.
All data, reports, and deliverables produced by the Biologist in the course of this engagement in Ivory Coast Abidjan shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Client upon full payment.
The Biologist shall comply with all applicable Ivorian environmental laws, including the Code de l'Environnement of Côte d'Ivoire, and international conventions ratified by the Republic of Ivory Coast.
Force majeure events, including but not limited to political instability, epidemics, or natural disasters affecting Ivory Coast Abidjan, shall suspend obligations under this Quotation Estimate without penalty to either party.
Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through amicable negotiation, failing which they shall be submitted to the competent courts of Abidjan, Ivory Coast Abidjan.
This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties and accompanied by the first payment instalment.

By signing below, both parties acknowledge and accept the terms, scope, and pricing outlined in this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of a Biologist in Ivory Coast Abidjan.
