This Quotation Estimate is formally issued by Green Valley Environmental & Biological Research Services Pvt. Ltd., a registered consultancy firm headquartered in Nepal Kathmandu, in response to the written request received from the Kathmandu Valley Ecological Monitoring Board. The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive, transparent, and itemized cost breakdown for the professional engagement of a qualified Biologist to conduct a full-spectrum biodiversity assessment, ecological field survey, and environmental impact evaluation across selected zones within the Kathmandu Valley. All pricing, deliverables, and terms outlined in this Quotation Estimate are specific to the Nepal Kathmandu operational context and comply with the regulations set forth by the Department of Environment, Government of Nepal.
The following scope defines the professional services to be rendered by the Biologist under this engagement in Nepal Kathmandu:
- Flora and Fauna Survey: Comprehensive documentation of plant species, vertebrate and invertebrate populations, and microbial diversity across a minimum of twelve (12) designated sampling sites in the Kathmandu Valley, including Bagmati River tributaries, Shivapuri-Namaste National Park buffer zones, and urban green corridors.
- Water Quality Biological Assessment: Macroinvertebrate-based bioassessment of water bodies in the Kathmandu basin, including collection, identification, and index calculation (HBI, EPT) in accordance with Nepal's National Water Quality Standards.
- Soil Ecology Analysis: Collection and laboratory analysis of soil samples for microbial community structure, organic matter content, and heavy metal bioaccumulation in agricultural and peri-urban plots around Kathmandu.
- Environmental Impact Report (EIR) Drafting: Preparation of a detailed biological impact chapter for the proposed infrastructure development project, including baseline data, predicted impacts, and mitigation recommendations.
- Community Awareness Workshops: Conducting a minimum of three (3) public workshops in local communities of Kathmandu to disseminate findings and promote biodiversity conservation awareness.
- Monthly Progress Reporting: Submission of structured monthly reports to the client, including photographic evidence, GPS-tagged data, and preliminary analytical findings.

Grand Total in words: Two Million Four Hundred Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-Four Nepalese Rupees Only.
The total amount as stated in this Quotation Estimate shall be disbursed in the following installments:
- Advance Payment (40%): NPR 963,574 – payable within seven (7) working days of signed acceptance of this Quotation Estimate.
- Mid-Project Payment (35%): NPR 843,127 – payable upon submission and approval of the Month-2 progress report by the client.
- Final Payment (25%): NPR 602,233 – payable within fourteen (14) days of delivery and acceptance of the final Biological Impact Report and all supporting documentation.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Nepal Kathmandu.
- The Biologist engaged under this contract shall hold a minimum of a Ph.D. in Biology, Ecology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized Nepali or international university, and shall possess at least twelve (12) years of post-qualification field experience.
- All fieldwork shall be conducted in strict compliance with the Environmental Protection Act, 2076 (1999) of Nepal and the guidelines issued by the Department of Environment, Kathmandu.
- The client reserves the right to request up to two (2) rounds of revisions on the final report at no additional cost. Further revisions shall be billed at NPR 15,000 per round.
- Any change in the scope of work beyond what is described in Section 2 shall require a written amendment to this Quotation Estimate, signed by both parties, before additional work commences.
- All intellectual property rights in the final deliverables shall vest with the client upon full payment. The Biologist and the consultancy firm retain the right to use anonymized data for academic publication with prior written consent from the client.
- Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. In the event of failure, the matter shall be referred to the competent court of law in Kathmandu, Nepal.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until formally accepted in writing by the client and countersigned by the consultancy firm.
