• Marine & Estuarine Assessment: Benthic and intertidal community sampling along 12 km of Wellington Harbour shoreline, with emphasis on kelp forest health, macroinvertebrate diversity, and the presence of the protected species Neofolliculina and native shellfish populations.
• Avian Monitoring Programme: Point-count and transect surveys for native bird species (including Morepork, Kererū, and Tūī) across three designated sites in the Wellington urban fringe, conducted over a 12-week period.
• Water Quality Biological Indicators: Collection and laboratory analysis of macroinvertebrate samples from 20 stream monitoring stations in the Rimutaka and Tararua catchments to calculate the New Zealand Macroinvertebrate Community Index (NZ-NCI).
• Reporting & Compliance: Preparation of a full ecological impact assessment report compliant with the Resource Management Act 1991 and Wellington Regional Council's Environmental Planning Policy, including recommendations for mitigation and offset strategies.

• This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of 90 calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, pricing may be revised to reflect changes in market rates, exchange rates, or regulatory requirements applicable in New Zealand Wellington.
• All rates quoted are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of the Biologist's professional fees, fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and reporting. Travel and accommodation within the New Zealand Wellington metropolitan area are included; travel to remote field sites beyond 80 km from central Wellington will be billed at cost.
• The Biologist engaged under this Quotation Estimate holds a Master's degree in Ecology (University of Canterbury), is a registered member of the New Zealand Ecological Society (NZES), and carries professional indemnity insurance of no less than NZD $5,000,000.
• Payment terms: 30% deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; 40% upon completion of fieldwork; 30% upon delivery and acceptance of the final ecological report. All invoices are payable within 20 business days in accordance with the New Zealand Payment Terms in Supply Act 2013.
• Any variation to the scope of work must be agreed in writing by both parties. Additional Biologist days beyond the quoted duration will be charged at the applicable daily rate specified in Section 3.
• All data collected by the Biologist during the course of this engagement shall become the property of the Wellington Regional Council upon full payment. Te Taiao Environmental Sciences Ltd. retains the right to anonymised data for peer-reviewed publication with prior written consent.
• This Quotation Estimate is subject to the Resource Management Act 1991, the Conservation Act 1987, and all applicable Wellington Regional Council bylaws governing ecological survey work in the New Zealand Wellington region.
• Force majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by adverse weather (including Wellington's well-known wind conditions), natural disasters, or government-imposed restrictions that prevent the Biologist from accessing field sites.

By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate for Biologist services in New Zealand Wellington. The engagement shall commence on the date specified in the project schedule or upon written instruction from the client, whichever is later.
