2.1 Preventive Maintenance and Calibration
Monthly scheduled calibration and preventive maintenance of all Class IIa and Class IIb medical devices, including but not limited to patient monitors, infusion pumps, defibrillators, anaesthesia machines, and imaging equipment. The Biomedical Engineer will maintain a full digital asset register and generate calibration certificates traceable to National Measurement Institute (NMI) standards.
2.2 Corrective Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Responsive corrective maintenance for all biomedical equipment within a guaranteed 4-hour response window for critical life-support devices and a 24-hour response window for non-critical devices. The Biomedical Engineer will perform root-cause analysis, component-level repair, and post-repair verification testing.
2.3 Regulatory Compliance and Documentation
Quarterly compliance audits aligned with the Australian Medical Device Regulations 2002. The Biomedical Engineer will prepare and maintain all mandatory documentation, including risk assessments, maintenance logs, and incident reports, ensuring full traceability for Queensland Health inspections and TGA reporting obligations.
2.4 Equipment Procurement Advisory and Commissioning
Technical advisory support for the procurement of new biomedical equipment, including specification review, vendor evaluation, site acceptance testing, and initial commissioning. The Biomedical Engineer will provide written recommendations to the client's capital planning committee.
2.5 Training and Knowledge Transfer
Two (2) on-site training sessions per quarter for clinical and technical staff in Australia Brisbane, covering safe operation, basic troubleshooting, and regulatory obligations associated with biomedical equipment.

Payment for services rendered under this Quotation Estimate shall be made in monthly instalments, invoiced in arrears on the last business day of each calendar month. The client agrees to remit payment within thirty (30) days of the invoice date via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the bank account nominated by MedTech Solutions Pty Ltd. A late payment surcharge of 1.5% per month will apply to outstanding balances exceeding the 30-day term, in accordance with the Queensland Government Procurement Policy.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, all rates and availability must be reconfirmed in writing.
- The Biomedical Engineer assigned to this engagement must hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Engineering (Biomedical) degree, be registered with Engineers Australia, and maintain current professional indemnity insurance of no less than AUD 10,000,000.
- All work performed in Australia Brisbane shall comply with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and all applicable Queensland Health policies.
- MedTech Solutions Pty Ltd reserves the right to substitute the assigned Biomedical Engineer with a suitably qualified alternative, provided prior written notice of no less than five (5) business days is given to the client.
- Intellectual property, including all calibration data, compliance reports, and technical documentation generated during the engagement, shall remain the property of the client upon full payment.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal Service Agreement is executed by both parties.
- Any variation to the scope of work must be documented in a written Variation Order signed by both parties before additional work commences.
- Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved in accordance with the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) procedures.
