This Quotation Estimate is issued by MedTech Solutions Iberia S.L. to formally present the professional fees, deliverables, and associated costs for the engagement of a qualified Biomedical Engineer to support the clinical engineering and medical device management operations of the client facility located in Spain Madrid. This document serves as a binding financial proposal subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein. All pricing is expressed in Euros (EUR) and is inclusive of applicable Spanish Value Added Tax (IVA) at the current rate of 21%, unless otherwise stated.
The Biomedical Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall provide the following professional services within the Spain Madrid metropolitan area and its surrounding clinical facilities:
- Medical Device Lifecycle Management: Comprehensive oversight of the procurement, installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and decommissioning of all Class I, IIa, IIb, and III medical devices in accordance with EU Regulation 2017/745 (MDR) and applicable Spanish Royal Decree 1591/1985.
- Clinical Engineering Support: On-site technical support to clinical departments including Cardiology, Oncology, Intensive Care, Radiology, and Laboratory Medicine for the operation, troubleshooting, and calibration of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance & Auditing: Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, risk assessments, and conformity declarations required by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS) and the Madrid Regional Health Service (Servicio Madrileño de Salud – SERMAS).
- Biocompatibility & Safety Testing: Execution of in-house biocompatibility testing, electrical safety verification (IEC 62353), and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) assessments for newly acquired devices prior to clinical deployment.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Delivery of structured training programmes for clinical staff on the safe operation of complex biomedical equipment, with a minimum of 40 hours of on-site instruction per quarter in Spain Madrid.
- Research & Development Consultancy: Advisory support for the hospital's R&D unit on novel biomedical technologies, including AI-assisted diagnostic systems, robotic surgical platforms, and wearable biosensor integration.

Payment for the services described in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in quarterly instalments of € 57,661.63 (inclusive of IVA), due within 30 days of the invoice date. The first instalment is due upon contract execution. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account of MedTech Solutions Iberia S.L., IBAN: ES21 0049 0001 5320 5012 3456, BIC: BSCHESMM. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate established by Spanish Royal Decree 4/2013 on late payment in commercial transactions.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of 30 calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all prices are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Spain Madrid.
- The Biomedical Engineer shall comply with all applicable Spanish labour legislation, including the Workers' Statute (Estatuto de los Trabajadores, Real Decreto Legislativo 2/2015) and the Madrid regional collective agreement for the healthcare sector.
- Confidentiality: All patient data, clinical protocols, and proprietary information encountered during the engagement in Spain Madrid shall be treated in strict accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection.
- Intellectual Property: All reports, assessments, and documentation produced by the Biomedical Engineer under this contract shall become the exclusive property of the client upon full payment.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this engagement with 60 days' written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all services rendered up to the termination date plus a 5% administrative fee.
- Liability: The total liability of MedTech Solutions Iberia S.L. under this Quotation Estimate shall not exceed the total contract value. The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of € 1,000,000 per claim, compliant with Spanish professional liability requirements.
- Governing Law: This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Madrid, Spain.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or government-mandated closures affecting operations in Spain Madrid.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms set forth in this Quotation Estimate for the professional services of a Biomedical Engineer to be delivered in Spain Madrid.
