This Quotation Estimate is issued by KenChem Engineering & Consulting Ltd. in response to the formal request for professional services from East African Industrial Processing Co. Ltd. The Chemical Engineer assigned to this project will hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognised Kenyan or international university, with at least eight (8) years of post-qualification experience in process industries. The engineer will be registered with the Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK) and will operate in full compliance with the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) regulations applicable in Kenya Nairobi.
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:
- Conducting a full process safety review of the existing chemical processing plant in Kenya Nairobi.
- Designing and specifying a new distillation column system with a capacity of 50,000 litres per day.
- Performing heat and mass transfer calculations for the proposed reactor upgrade.
- Preparing a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) supplement in line with NEMA requirements for the Kenya Nairobi region.
- Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all chemical handling and storage operations.
- Providing on-site supervision during the installation and commissioning phase (estimated 12 weeks).
- Delivering a final technical report and as-built documentation package.

Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in three (3) tranches:
- Tranche 1 (30%): KES 1,869,978 – Due upon signing of the Service Agreement and mobilisation of the Chemical Engineer to the Kenya Nairobi site.
- Tranche 2 (40%): KES 2,493,304 – Due upon completion of the process design package and submission of the EIA supplement to NEMA.
- Tranche 3 (30%): KES 1,869,978 – Due upon successful commissioning, handover of as-built documentation, and final acceptance by the client.
All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account of KenChem Engineering & Consulting Ltd. at Equity Bank, Nairobi Branch, Kenya Nairobi. Invoices will be issued in accordance with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) eTIMS requirements.
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be subject to revision due to market fluctuations in Kenya Nairobi.
5.2 The Chemical Engineer shall adhere to all applicable Kenyan laws, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 2007, the Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) 1999, and the Engineering, Architecture and Surveying Professions Act.
5.3 Any variation in scope exceeding 10% of the original estimate will require a formal amendment to this Quotation Estimate, signed by both parties.
5.4 The client shall provide safe access to the facility in Kenya Nairobi, necessary utilities, and all relevant existing technical documentation prior to the commencement of on-site work.
5.5 Intellectual property rights in all designs, reports, and documentation produced under this engagement shall vest in the client upon full payment.
5.6 Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Nairobi, Kenya, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1995 of Kenya.
Note: This Quotation Estimate does not include the cost of procurement of plant equipment, raw chemical materials, or third-party laboratory testing. These items shall be quoted separately upon request. All rates are exclusive of any applicable withholding tax, which shall be the responsibility of the client as per Kenyan tax law.By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms, conditions, and pricing set forth in this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of a Chemical Engineer in Kenya Nairobi.
