This Quotation Estimate is issued by Meridian Trade & Logistics Solutions S.A.E. in response to the formal request for proposal submitted by Al-Ahram Import & Export Co. Ltd. regarding the recruitment, deployment, and ongoing management of a qualified Customs Officer to operate at the Alexandria Port and the adjacent Alexandria Customs Zone. The scope of this engagement covers all professional services, regulatory compliance oversight, and administrative support required to ensure seamless customs clearance operations in Egypt Alexandria for a continuous period of twelve (12) months, commencing on 1 September 2025.
The Customs Officer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties and responsibilities within the jurisdiction of Egypt Alexandria:
- Preparation, review, and submission of all customs declarations (Single Administrative Document – SAD) in accordance with the Egyptian Customs Law No. 207 of 2020 and its implementing regulations.
- Coordination with the Alexandria Customs Authority, the Egyptian General Trade Support Service (EGTSS), and the Alexandria Port Authority to facilitate the inspection, valuation, and release of imported and exported cargo.
- Classification of goods under the Harmonized System (HS) codes and verification of applicable customs duties, Value Added Tax (VAT), and any sector-specific levies.
- Management of bonded warehouse documentation and oversight of transshipment operations through the Alexandria Free Zone.
- Liaison with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and terminal operators at the East and West ports of Alexandria to ensure timely cargo movement.
- Preparation of monthly compliance reports, statistical summaries, and risk-assessment briefings for the client's management team.
- Representation of the client before the Customs Authority in the event of audits, inspections, or dispute resolution proceedings.

Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in monthly installments of EGP 112,518 (inclusive of VAT), due within fifteen (15) calendar days of the invoice date. The first installment shall be due upon the commencement of the Customs Officer's assignment in Egypt Alexandria. All payments shall be remitted via bank transfer to the account of Meridian Trade & Logistics Solutions S.A.E. at National Bank of Egypt, Alexandria Branch. Late payments shall attract a penalty interest of 1.5% per month as stipulated under Egyptian commercial law.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Egypt Alexandria.
- The Customs Officer shall be bound by a strict confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement covering all client trade data, shipment manifests, and commercial information encountered during operations at Alexandria Port.
- Meridian Trade & Logistics Solutions S.A.E. reserves the right to replace the assigned Customs Officer with a suitably qualified alternative, subject to prior written notice of no fewer than fourteen (14) days, should circumstances necessitate such a change.
- The client shall provide timely access to all commercial documents, bills of lading, invoices, and certificates of origin required for the Customs Officer to perform clearance operations without delay.
- Any additional services beyond the scope defined herein (e.g., handling of seized cargo, litigation support, or operations at ports outside Egypt Alexandria) shall be subject to a separate supplementary Quotation Estimate.
- This engagement is governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through the competent courts of Alexandria Governorate.
- Termination by either party requires a written notice of no fewer than sixty (60) days. Upon termination, all outstanding invoices for services rendered up to the effective date of termination shall be settled in full.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts all terms, conditions, and pricing set forth in this Quotation Estimate for the deployment of a Customs Officer in Egypt Alexandria. This document, once countersigned by both parties, constitutes a binding service agreement for the duration specified herein.
