Dear Mr. El-Sayed,
Thank you for requesting a Quotation Estimate for the provision of a dedicated Customs Officer to support the import and export clearance operations of Al-Nile International Trading Co., Ltd. at your facility in Egypt Cairo. This Quotation Estimate has been prepared in full compliance with the Egyptian Customs Law No. 207 of 2020, the Egyptian Labour Law No. 12 of 2003, and the applicable regulations issued by the Egyptian Customs Authority (ECA) headquartered in Egypt Cairo.
The Customs Officer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties on a full-time basis (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) at the designated Egypt Cairo premises:
- Preparation, review, and submission of all customs declarations (Single Administrative Document – SAD) through the Egyptian Customs Authority's electronic system (Nafeza Platform) for goods entering or leaving Egypt Cairo and the Port Said Free Zone.
- Classification of goods under the Harmonized System (HS) nomenclature and verification of applicable customs duty rates, Value Added Tax (VAT), and excise duties as stipulated by Egyptian fiscal law.
- Coordination with the Egyptian Customs Authority inspectors stationed at the Egypt Cairo central customs terminal and the Port Said port of entry to facilitate physical inspections, sampling, and release of cargo.
- Maintenance of a complete and auditable record of all import/export transactions, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and phytosanitary or health certificates, in accordance with ECA record-keeping requirements.
- Monitoring of regulatory updates, tariff revisions, and trade policy changes issued by the Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Customs Authority to ensure ongoing compliance for the client's operations in Egypt Cairo.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly compliance reports summarizing clearance volumes, duty payments, penalty incidents, and recommended process improvements.
- Representation of the client before the Egyptian Customs Authority in the event of queries, audits, or dispute resolution proceedings related to customs valuation or classification.

All amounts stated in this Quotation Estimate are denominated in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and are subject to the 14% Value Added Tax as prescribed by the Egyptian Tax Authority. Payment shall be made in quarterly instalments of EGP 145,863.00 (inclusive of VAT), due within fifteen (15) business days of the invoice date. The first instalment is due upon the commencement date of the Customs Officer's assignment. Payments shall be remitted via bank transfer to the account of Meridian Trade & Logistics Services S.A.E. at Commercial International Bank, Egypt Cairo branch, Account No. 004-5521-8873-1.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, all rates and terms are subject to revision without prior notice.
- The Customs Officer shall be an employee of Meridian Trade & Logistics Services S.A.E. and shall not be deemed an employee or agent of the client for any purpose other than the performance of the services described herein.
- The client shall provide the Customs Officer with timely access to all commercial documents, shipping schedules, and product specifications necessary to prepare accurate customs declarations for goods transiting through Egypt Cairo and the Port Said customs zone.
- Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all costs incurred up to the effective date of termination, including pro-rated salary and licence fees for the Customs Officer.
- Meridian Trade & Logistics Services S.A.E. shall not be held liable for customs penalties, demurrage charges, or cargo delays arising from the client's failure to provide complete or accurate documentation, or from actions or omissions of the Egyptian Customs Authority beyond the Customs Officer's reasonable control.
- All personal data processed in connection with this Quotation Estimate and the subsequent engagement shall be handled in accordance with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
- Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. Failing resolution within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be referred to the competent courts of Egypt Cairo.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties and the first payment has been received in full.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined above for the provision of a Customs Officer at the specified Egypt Cairo location.
