This Quotation Estimate is issued by Meridian Trade Compliance Ltd. to provide a comprehensive and itemised financial proposal for the engagement of a qualified Customs Officer to support the import, export, and transit operations of Thamesport Logistics Group plc within the United Kingdom London metropolitan area. This document sets out the scope of services, associated costs, payment terms, and conditions governing the proposed engagement. All figures are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the standard rate of 20% unless otherwise stated.

2. Scope of Services — Customs Officer Role

The Customs Officer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties within the operational boundaries of United Kingdom London, including but not limited to the Port of London, Heathrow Airport Cargo Terminal, and the Royal Mail Customs Processing Centre in Croydon:

Preparation, submission, and management of all Customs declarations (C88, SAD, and CHIEF/CDS entries) in compliance with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) regulations.
Classification of goods under the Combined Nomenclature (CN) and Harmonised System (HS) codes for all cargo transiting through United Kingdom London ports and airports.
Calculation, verification, and payment of import duties, VAT, and any applicable excise duties on goods entering the United Kingdom customs territory.
Coordination with HMRC, Border Force, and the Food Standards Agency (FSA) regarding inspections, audits, and compliance queries specific to the London region.
Management of bonded warehouse operations and temporary admission procedures for goods stored within the United Kingdom London customs zone.
Advisory support on trade agreements, tariff preferences, and rules of origin applicable to goods moving through United Kingdom London trade corridors.
Maintenance of accurate customs records and provision of monthly compliance reporting to the client's senior management team.

4. Terms and Conditions

This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Should the client wish to proceed after the expiry date, a revised Quotation Estimate reflecting any changes in market rates or regulatory requirements in the United Kingdom London area will be issued.
The Customs Officer appointed under this engagement must hold a valid CITES licence, be registered with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and possess a minimum of five years' experience in UK customs clearance operations, with specific familiarity with the United Kingdom London port and airport infrastructure.
Payment terms: 50% of the total Quotation Estimate amount shall be due upon execution of the service agreement; the remaining 50% shall be invoiced monthly in arrears, payable within thirty (30) days of invoice date.
All services shall be performed in strict accordance with the UK Customs Code, the Trade Tariff, and any guidance issued by HMRC applicable to the United Kingdom London region. The Customs Officer shall maintain full professional indemnity insurance throughout the engagement period.
Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all services rendered up to the date of termination as detailed in this Quotation Estimate.
This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties. All terms are subject to the standard terms and conditions of Meridian Trade Compliance Ltd., available upon request.
Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent engagement of the Customs Officer shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom London.

5. Acceptance

By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and financial provisions set out herein for the engagement of a Customs Officer to operate within the United Kingdom London jurisdiction.
