1. Purpose of This Quotation Estimate
This Quotation Estimate is issued by Maritime & Trade Compliance Solutions, LLC to provide a comprehensive and itemized cost breakdown for the engagement of a licensed Customs Officer to perform regulatory compliance, cargo inspection, and trade facilitation duties at the Port of Miami and surrounding logistics facilities in United States Miami. This document serves as a formal proposal outlining the scope of services, associated fees, payment terms, and conditions governing the professional engagement of the Customs Officer for a period of twelve (12) months, renewable upon mutual agreement.
2. Scope of Services – Customs Officer Duties
The Customs Officer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties within the jurisdiction of United States Miami, in full compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, the Tariff Act of 1930, and all applicable Florida state trade laws:
- Conducting physical and documentary inspections of inbound and outbound cargo at the Port of Miami, Miami International Airport (MIA), and designated bonded warehouses.
- Verifying customs declarations, commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin for all shipments transiting through United States Miami.
- Assessing and collecting applicable duties, taxes, and fees in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).
- Enforcing import and export control regulations, including sanctions screening under the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
- Coordinating with CBP, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on matters of regulatory compliance.
- Maintaining accurate records of all inspections, seizures, releases, and exceptions in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system.
- Providing weekly compliance reports to the client's operations management team.
- Responding to and resolving customs discrepancies, holds, and audit inquiries within a 48-hour turnaround window.

4. Payment Terms
Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made on a monthly basis, invoiced on the first business day of each month for services rendered in the preceding month. Payment is due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date via wire transfer to the account designated by Maritime & Trade Compliance Solutions, LLC. Late payments shall accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month. A 5% early-payment discount shall apply to invoices settled within ten (10) business days of receipt.
5. Terms and Conditions
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After the expiration date, all rates and terms are subject to revision without prior notice.
- The Customs Officer engaged under this agreement must hold a valid U.S. Customs Broker License (CBP Form 1508) and maintain a clean record with the U.S. Department of Justice and the State of Florida.
- All services shall be performed in strict accordance with the laws of the United States, the State of Florida, and the specific regulations governing the Port of Miami and the Miami metropolitan area.
- The client reserves the right to request a replacement Customs Officer with no additional cost if the assigned individual fails to meet performance standards outlined in the service-level agreement (SLA) attached as Appendix A.
- Either party may terminate this engagement with sixty (60) days' written notice. In the event of termination, all fees for services rendered through the termination date shall remain due and payable.
- All data, cargo records, and client information handled by the Customs Officer shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third party without written consent, in compliance with the U.S. Privacy Act and Florida data protection statutes.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have executed the formal Service Agreement document. Acceptance of this estimate does not obligate either party to proceed.
- Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Miami-Dade County, Florida, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
6. Acceptance and Authorization
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein for the engagement of a Customs Officer in the United States Miami area. This signature constitutes a request to proceed with the formal Service Agreement.
