2. Scope of Work – Environmental Engineer Services
This Quotation Estimate is issued by GreenScape Environmental Consulting Ltd. to provide comprehensive Environmental Engineer consultancy services for the Manchester City Council's 2025–2026 environmental infrastructure assessment programme. The scope of work covers the following deliverables, all to be executed within the United Kingdom Manchester metropolitan area and in full compliance with UK environmental legislation, including the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Water Resources Act 1991, and the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
Our designated Environmental Engineer team, comprising a Chartered Environmental Engineer (CEng), two Associate Environmental Engineers, and a team of field technicians, will undertake the following activities across the City of Manchester and the wider Greater Manchester region:
- Full environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the proposed regeneration of the Irwell Valley corridor, including air quality modelling, noise impact analysis, and ecological survey coordination.
- Groundwater and surface water quality monitoring programme across 24 designated sampling points within the Manchester urban boundary, conducted in accordance with the Water Industry Act 1991 and UK Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) standards.
- Soil contamination risk assessment and remediation strategy development for the former industrial sites at Beswick and Openshaw, in line with the Contaminated Land Regulations 2007.
- Waste management and circular economy audit for the Manchester Metropolitan Waste-to-Energy facility, including emissions compliance verification under the Industrial Emissions Directive (2010/75/EU) as transposed into UK law.
- Preparation of a comprehensive Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the Manchester Airport expansion phase 2, to be submitted to the UK Planning Inspectorate.
- Quarterly progress reporting and stakeholder engagement sessions with local communities, the Environment Agency, Natural England, and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

4. Payment Terms
Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in monthly instalments, invoiced in arrears on the last working day of each calendar month. The first invoice will be issued upon formal acceptance of this quotation and commencement of the Environmental Engineer engagement. All payments are due within 30 days of the invoice date. Late payments will attract interest at the rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. All amounts are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
5. Terms and Conditions
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of 30 calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be subject to revision due to market fluctuations, resource availability, or changes in UK regulatory requirements.
- All Environmental Engineer services shall be performed in accordance with the Royal Academy of Engineering's Code of Conduct and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) professional standards. The Lead Environmental Engineer holds Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).
- The project location is the United Kingdom Manchester metropolitan area. All fieldwork, laboratory coordination, and stakeholder meetings will be conducted within the City of Manchester and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority boundary unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- GreenScape Environmental Consulting Ltd. shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of no less than £5,000,000 and public liability insurance of no less than £10,000,000 for the duration of the contract.
- All data, reports, and deliverables produced under this engagement shall be the intellectual property of the client upon full payment. Our Environmental Engineer team shall comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 in handling all personal and environmental data.
- Any variation to the scope of work must be agreed in writing by both parties prior to commencement. Variations exceeding 10% of the total contract value will require a revised Quotation Estimate.
- This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation under the CEDR scheme before proceeding to the courts of United Kingdom Manchester.
6. Acceptance and Authorisation
By signing below, the client confirms acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and authorises GreenScape Environmental Consulting Ltd. to commence the Environmental Engineer services as described herein, to be delivered within the United Kingdom Manchester region.
