This Quotation Estimate outlines the comprehensive professional services to be rendered by a senior Film Director for the production of the "Silk Road Chronicles" documentary series, to be filmed primarily in Kazakhstan Almaty and surrounding regions. The Film Director will be responsible for the complete creative and operational leadership of the project from pre-production through final delivery, ensuring that the visual narrative authentically represents the cultural heritage, landscapes, and contemporary life of Kazakhstan Almaty and its environs.
The Film Director engagement includes, but is not limited to, the following deliverables and responsibilities:
- Creative Development: Development of the directorial vision, shot lists, storyboard sequences, and narrative structure for all six episodes of the series. The Film Director will conduct a minimum of three creative workshops with the client's editorial team in Almaty during the pre-production phase.
- Pre-Production Planning: Location scouting across Kazakhstan Almaty, Charyn Canyon, and Lake Kaindy; coordination with local permitting authorities; scheduling of cast, crew, and equipment; and preparation of detailed shooting schedules aligned with the seasonal conditions typical of the Almaty region.
- Principal Photography: On-set direction for a minimum of 42 shooting days, including direction of principal actors, interview subjects, and supporting cast. The Film Director will oversee all camera operations, lighting design, and sound capture to ensure cinematic quality consistent with international broadcast standards.
- Post-Production Supervision: Active participation in the editing process, color grading sessions, and final sound design. The Film Director will attend a minimum of eight review sessions with the client and provide written feedback within 48 hours of each screening.

Payment for the Film Director services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made according to the following schedule:
- 30% advance payment (KZT 16,368,300) due within 10 business days of signed acceptance of this Quotation Estimate.
- 40% progress payment (KZT 21,824,400) due upon completion of principal photography (end of shooting day 42).
- 30% final payment (KZT 16,368,300) due within 15 business days of final delivery of all six episodes in approved format.
All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account of Altai Visual Productions LLC, Almaty, Kazakhstan. Late payments shall accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month as stipulated under Kazakhstani commercial law.
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be subject to revision based on market conditions in the Kazakhstan Almaty production sector.
5.2 The Film Director retains full creative authority over directorial decisions during production. However, the client reserves the right to request up to two (2) rounds of revisions per episode during post-production. Additional revision rounds will be billed at the Film Director's standard hourly rate of KZT 45,000 per hour.
5.3 The Film Director and all associated crew members shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including but not limited to the Law on Cinematography, local filming permit requirements in Almaty City, and labor regulations governing the employment of crew in Kazakhstan Almaty.
5.4 Intellectual property rights in the final delivered episodes shall transfer to the client upon full and final payment. The Film Director retains the right to display the work in personal portfolios, festival submissions, and industry awards entries, subject to the client's prior written consent for any commercial exploitation.
5.5 Force majeure events, including but not limited to severe weather conditions in the Almaty region, government-imposed restrictions, or natural disasters, shall extend the production timeline on a day-for-day basis without penalty to either party.
5.6 Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration Center of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate for Film Director services in Kazakhstan Almaty and agrees to the terms, conditions, and financial obligations set forth herein. This document constitutes a binding commercial offer upon countersignature by both parties.
