This Quotation Estimate is issued by Meridian Visual Productions, LLC to Lakefront Media Group, Inc. for the engagement of a professional Film Director to oversee the complete creative and operational execution of the documentary feature "Windy City Chronicles." All services described herein will be performed primarily within the United States Chicago metropolitan area, leveraging the city's rich cultural infrastructure, diverse talent pool, and established production support networks. This Quotation Estimate reflects current market rates for Film Director services in the Chicago, Illinois region as of the date of issue and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in Section 7.

The following services constitute the full scope of the Film Director engagement as detailed in this Quotation Estimate:

  • Creative Development & Pre-Production (Weeks 1–4): The Film Director will conduct narrative structuring sessions, develop the visual treatment and shot list, coordinate with the cinematography team, and finalize the production schedule. All pre-production meetings will be held at the Meridian Visual Productions studio in downtown Chicago, United States.
  • Principal Photography Direction (Weeks 5–10): The Film Director will be on set for a minimum of 45 shooting days across locations in the United States Chicago area, including but not limited to the Loop, the South Side, the North Shore, and the Chicago Riverwalk. The Film Director is responsible for blocking, actor and subject direction, continuity, and real-time creative decision-making.
  • Post-Production Oversight (Weeks 11–16): The Film Director will attend editorial sessions, provide notes on the rough cut, fine cut, and picture lock, and collaborate with the sound design and color grading teams. Post-production supervision will be conducted at the client's facility in Chicago or at Meridian's editing suites.
  • Delivery & Festival Support (Weeks 17–18): The Film Director will attend the final delivery review, prepare a director's statement, and be available for up to three (3) festival or screening events within the United States Chicago area at no additional charge.

Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made according to the following milestone schedule:

  • 25% ($49,449.38) – Due upon execution of the production agreement and receipt of this Quotation Estimate acceptance.
  • 25% ($49,449.38) – Due upon completion of Pre-Production (end of Week 4).
  • 30% ($59,339.25) – Due upon completion of Principal Photography (end of Week 10).
  • 20% ($39,559.49) – Due upon final picture lock and delivery of the completed master (end of Week 16).

All payments shall be made via wire transfer to Meridian Visual Productions, LLC, Bank of America, Chicago, Illinois. Late payments shall accrue interest at 1.5% per month.

  • This Quotation Estimate assumes a maximum of 45 principal photography days. Any additional shooting days will be billed at the Film Director daily rate of $1,850 plus applicable taxes.
  • Travel outside the United States Chicago metropolitan area (defined as a 60-mile radius from the Loop) will be billed separately at cost plus 15% administrative fee.
  • Meals, lodging for the Film Director and AD during multi-day shoots, and equipment rental are excluded from this Quotation Estimate and will be covered by the client.
  • This Quotation Estimate does not include music licensing, stock footage, or third-party archival material costs.

This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After the expiration date, all rates and availability of the designated Film Director are subject to reconfirmation. Acceptance of this Quotation Estimate constitutes agreement to all terms, conditions, and pricing as stated herein. To accept, the client shall sign and return the acceptance block below or provide written confirmation via email to [email protected].

  1. This Quotation Estimate is a non-binding estimate of costs and does not constitute a binding contract until a formal Production Services Agreement is executed by both parties.
  2. The Film Director retains full creative authority over narrative, pacing, and visual style as defined in the approved treatment. The client reserves the right to request up to two (2) rounds of editorial revisions at no additional cost.
  3. Meridian Visual Productions, LLC shall comply with all applicable federal, Illinois state, and City of Chicago labor, safety, and filming regulations. All permits required by the City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development will be obtained prior to principal photography.
  4. Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall pay for all services rendered through the termination date plus a 10% cancellation fee on the remaining balance.
  5. All work product, including the finished film, shall become the property of the client upon full payment. The Film Director retains the right to display the work in personal portfolios, festival submissions, and industry showcases.
  6. Governing law for this Quotation Estimate and any resulting agreement shall be the laws of the State of Illinois, with exclusive jurisdiction in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chicago, United States.
