This Quotation Estimate is issued by GeoSurvey Bangladesh Ltd. to provide a comprehensive and itemized cost breakdown for the engagement of a qualified Geologist and supporting geological field team to conduct subsurface investigation, soil and rock characterization, and environmental geological assessment for the proposed multi-storey commercial development project located in the heart of Bangladesh Dhaka. This document serves as a formal pricing proposal and does not constitute a binding contract until both parties execute the definitive service agreement.
The Geologist and the associated field and laboratory team will deliver the following services within the Dhaka metropolitan area and its immediate periphery:
- Site Reconnaissance & Desktop Study: Review of existing geological maps, seismic hazard data, and hydrogeological records for the Dhaka basin. Preparation of a preliminary geological framework report specific to the project site in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- Subsurface Borehole Investigation: Drilling of a minimum of six (6) boreholes to a depth of 30 metres below ground level (mBGL) at strategically selected locations across the site. The lead Geologist will supervise all drilling operations and log each borehole in accordance with ISRM and ICSMFE standards.
- Soil & Rock Sampling: Collection of undisturbed and disturbed soil samples, rock core samples, and groundwater samples at prescribed intervals. All samples will be transported to the GeoSurvey Bangladesh laboratory in Banani, Dhaka, for geotechnical and geochemical analysis.
- Geotechnical Laboratory Testing: Standard Proctor compaction, Atterberg limits, triaxial shear tests, unconfined compressive strength tests, grain size distribution, X-ray diffraction (XRD) mineralogical analysis, and heavy metal screening of soil and groundwater samples.
- Seismic & Liquefaction Assessment: Evaluation of the site's susceptibility to seismic liquefaction based on the 2008 Bhola earthquake parameters and the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) 2020 seismic zone classification for Dhaka.
- Hydrogeological Survey: Installation of two (2) monitoring piezometers, 30-day pumping test, and determination of aquifer parameters (hydraulic conductivity, transmissivity, storage coefficient) relevant to the Dhaka alluvial aquifer system.
- Final Geological Report: A comprehensive 150-page technical report authored and signed by the lead Geologist, including borehole logs, laboratory results, foundation recommendations, slope stability analysis, and a risk register. Three (3) hard-bound copies and one (1) digital copy will be delivered to the client in Dhaka.

Amount in words: Three Million Six Hundred Fifty-One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Bangladeshi Taka Only.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Any request for services beyond this period will require a revised quotation from the Geologist's team.
- Payment terms: 30% advance upon signing the service agreement, 40% upon completion of fieldwork (borehole drilling and sampling), and 30% upon delivery and acceptance of the final geological report in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- All payments shall be made in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) via bank transfer to the account of GeoSurvey Bangladesh Ltd., Dhaka.
- The lead Geologist reserves the right to adjust the scope and corresponding costs if unforeseen subsurface conditions (e.g., boulders, contaminated zones, or unexpected groundwater levels) are encountered during fieldwork in the Dhaka area. Any such adjustment will be documented in a supplementary quotation estimate and requires written client approval before additional work commences.
- The Geologist and the field team shall comply with all applicable regulations of the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR), Bangladesh, and the Dhaka North/South City Corporation environmental and safety guidelines.
- All data, borehole logs, and reports generated under this engagement shall remain the intellectual property of the client upon full payment. The Geologist may reference the project in professional portfolios with prior written consent.
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to monsoon flooding (common in Dhaka from June to September), government-imposed restrictions, or natural disasters, shall extend the project timeline proportionally without penalty to either party.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent service agreement shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. If unresolved, the matter shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration Act of Bangladesh, with the seat of arbitration in Dhaka.
- This Quotation Estimate does not include the cost of structural design, architectural planning, or any construction activities. It is strictly limited to geological and geotechnical investigation and reporting services.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the scope, pricing, and terms outlined herein for the engagement of the Geologist and supporting team for the geological investigation project in Bangladesh Dhaka.
