This Quotation Estimate is issued by GeoShanghai Professional Services Co., Ltd. in response to the formal request for geological consulting services in the Pudong New Area Expansion Zone of China Shanghai. The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive, itemized cost breakdown for the engagement of a qualified Geologist and supporting geological team to conduct subsurface investigation, geological mapping, and environmental geotechnical assessment for the proposed urban development corridor spanning approximately 42 square kilometres.
The Quotation Estimate covers all professional fees, fieldwork expenses, laboratory analysis, reporting, and project management costs associated with the services of the designated Geologist and the supporting technical staff. All pricing is quoted in Chinese Yuan (CNY) and is inclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current rate of 6% for professional services as mandated by the State Taxation Administration of the People's Republic of China.
The Geologist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties within the China Shanghai project area:
- Conduct a detailed geological reconnaissance survey covering the entire 42 km² expansion zone, including identification of bedrock formations, alluvial deposits, and potential fault structures.
- Design and supervise a borehole drilling programme comprising no fewer than 120 boreholes at depths ranging from 15 metres to 80 metres below ground level.
- Perform in-situ geotechnical testing, including Standard Penetration Tests (SPT), Cone Penetration Tests (CPT), and vane shear tests at designated intervals.
- Collect, log, and submit core samples and disturbed soil samples to an accredited laboratory in China Shanghai for petrographic, geochemical, and geotechnical analysis.
- Assess the geological and geohydrological risk profile of the site, with particular attention to the Yangtze River alluvial plain characteristics prevalent in the China Shanghai region.
- Prepare a comprehensive Geological Investigation Report in both English and Mandarin Chinese, compliant with the GB/T 50021-2016 national standard for engineering geological investigation.
- Provide two on-site technical review meetings with the client's engineering team during the fieldwork phase.

Payment against this Quotation Estimate shall be made in the following instalments, all denominated in CNY and payable via bank transfer to the account of GeoShanghai Professional Services Co., Ltd. at Bank of China, China Shanghai Branch:
- 30% Advance Payment (CNY 1,520,167.20): Due within 15 business days of mutual execution of the service contract and acceptance of this Quotation Estimate.
- 40% Progress Payment (CNY 2,026,889.60): Due upon completion of 70% of the borehole drilling programme and submission of the interim fieldwork report.
- 25% Final Payment (CNY 1,266,806.00): Due within 20 business days of delivery and formal acceptance of the final bilingual Geological Investigation Report.
- 5% Retention (CNY 253,361.20): Released 12 months after final report acceptance, subject to no outstanding quality claims.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of 90 calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all prices are subject to revision based on prevailing market rates in China Shanghai.
- The Geologist and all supporting personnel shall hold valid professional qualifications recognised by the China Geological Society and the Ministry of Natural Resources of the People's Republic of China.
- All fieldwork in the China Shanghai project area shall comply with local municipal regulations, environmental protection statutes, and the Shanghai Municipal Geological Survey Management Ordinance.
- The client shall provide safe access to the site, necessary municipal permits, and coordination with adjacent property owners prior to the commencement of drilling operations.
- Any variation in scope exceeding 10% of the original work programme shall be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate issued by the Geologist and approved in writing by the client before additional work commences.
- Intellectual property rights in all reports, data sets, and geological models produced under this engagement shall vest in the client upon full and final payment.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved through arbitration under the Shanghai International Arbitration Centre (SHIAC) in accordance with its rules of procedure.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have executed the formal Service Agreement incorporating these terms.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate for Geologist services in China Shanghai and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing set forth herein. This acceptance shall serve as the basis for the preparation of the definitive Service Agreement.
