This Quotation Estimate has been prepared by GeoParis Consulting SARL to provide Société Immobilière du Grand Paris SA with a comprehensive and transparent breakdown of costs associated with the engagement of a certified Geologist for geological survey, site assessment, and environmental risk evaluation services to be conducted within the France Paris metropolitan area. The scope of work encompasses subsurface investigation, soil and rock characterization, hydrogeological analysis, and the preparation of a detailed geological report in compliance with French regulatory standards (Code de l'Environnement, Articles L. 111-1 et seq.) and European Union directives applicable to construction and urban development projects in the Paris region.

The designated Geologist, Dr. Hélène Marchand, holds a Doctorate in Earth Sciences from the Université Paris-Saclay and is registered with the Ordre des Géologues de France. Her professional qualifications ensure full compliance with the French geological surveying framework. The services outlined in this Quotation Estimate include the following deliverables:

  • Desktop Geological Study: Review of existing geological data from the BRGM (Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières) archives, historical mining records relevant to the Paris basin, and prior site investigations in the target district of France Paris.
  • Field Investigation: Execution of a minimum of six (6) borehole drillings (depth: 15 to 30 metres) across the 12,000 m² site located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, France. Core sampling and in-situ testing (Standard Penetration Test, Cone Penetration Test) will be performed at each borehole location.
  • Hydrogeological Assessment: Monitoring of groundwater levels, identification of aquifer boundaries within the Parisian limestone and alluvial deposits, and evaluation of potential contamination pathways in the France Paris urban aquifer system.
  • Geotechnical Laboratory Analysis: Physical, mechanical, and chemical testing of collected soil and rock samples in an accredited laboratory (COFRAC-certified) to determine bearing capacity, compressibility, permeability, and mineralogical composition.
  • Seismic and Risk Evaluation: Assessment of seismic vulnerability in accordance with the French seismic zoning (Zone IIb for Paris, France) and evaluation of natural hazard risks including subsidence, flooding, and ground instability.

In accordance with the terms of this Quotation Estimate, payment shall be structured as follows:

  • 30% advance payment (€ 27,853.20 incl. VAT) upon signature of the service contract.
  • 40% interim payment (€ 37,137.60 incl. VAT) upon completion of field investigation and laboratory analysis.
  • 30% final payment (€ 27,853.20 incl. VAT) upon delivery and acceptance of the final geological report.

All payments shall be made by bank transfer to the account of GeoParis Consulting SARL, BNP Paribas, IBAN: FR76 3000 4000 0312 3456 7890 123, within thirty (30) calendar days of invoice issuance, in compliance with French commercial law (Code de commerce, Article L. 441-10).

  • This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue, i.e., until 15 September 2025. Beyond this period, prices may be revised to reflect changes in material costs, labour rates, or regulatory requirements applicable in France Paris.
  • The engagement of the Geologist and all associated services are subject to the prior written acceptance of this Quotation Estimate by the Client, followed by the execution of a formal service agreement (Contrat de Prestation de Services).
  • All work shall be performed in strict compliance with French environmental regulations, the Code de l'Urbanisme, and the specific permits required for subsurface investigation within the city of Paris, France. The Geologist shall ensure that all drilling activities are notified to the Préfecture de Paris and the BRGM in advance.
  • Any additional services, change in scope, or extension of the investigation area beyond the parameters defined in this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a supplementary written estimate approved by both parties prior to execution.
  • The Geologist and GeoParis Consulting SARL shall carry professional liability insurance (RC Professionnelle) with a minimum coverage of € 5,000,000, as well as third-party liability insurance, for the entire duration of the project in France Paris.
  • Confidentiality: All geological data, site-specific findings, and reports generated under this engagement shall remain the exclusive property of the Client. The Geologist undertakes not to disclose any proprietary information to third parties without prior written consent, in accordance with the French Data Protection Act and the GDPR.
  • Disputes arising from the interpretation or execution of this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved amicably. Failing amicable resolution, the competent courts of Paris, France shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

The estimated duration for the complete geological investigation in France Paris, from the commencement of fieldwork to the delivery of the final report, is approximately ten (10) to twelve (12) weeks, subject to weather conditions, site accessibility, and laboratory turnaround times. A detailed Gantt chart will be provided upon contract signature.
