This Quotation Estimate is issued by Atlas Geological & Environmental Services (Pty) Ltd in response to the formal request from Meridian Property Developers (Pty) Ltd for the engagement of a qualified Professional Geologist to conduct comprehensive geological and geotechnical investigations for a proposed 48-unit residential development in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa. This Quotation Estimate outlines the full scope of geological services, associated costs, timelines, and terms of engagement. All pricing is quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and is inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current rate of 15% unless otherwise stated.
2. Scope of Work – Professional Geologist ServicesThe appointed Geologist will perform the following duties in accordance with the South African National Building Regulations (SANS 10400-F), the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), and the guidelines set by the South African Association of Geologists and Mineralogists (SAAGM):

The Professional Geologist will mobilise within five (5) business days of receiving a signed acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. The full scope of geological investigation in South Africa Cape Town is expected to be completed within a period of eight (8) to ten (10) weeks from the date of mobilisation, subject to weather conditions, access permissions, and laboratory turnaround times. A detailed Gantt chart will be provided upon contract commencement.
4. Terms and Conditions- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in South Africa.
- Payment terms: 40% deposit upon signing of the service agreement; 40% upon submission of the draft Geological and Geotechnical Investigation Report; 20% upon delivery of the final report and completion of all presentation sessions.
- All invoices are payable within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of invoice. Late payments will attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month in accordance with the National Credit Act.
- The Geologist shall comply with all applicable South African legislation, including the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), the National Water Act, the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA), and the Western Cape Provincial spatial planning by-laws.
- Any work outside the scope defined in Section 2 of this Quotation Estimate will be quoted separately and requires written approval from the client before commencement.
- The client shall provide reasonable access to the site in Cape Town, South Africa, and shall obtain all necessary municipal and provincial permits prior to the Geologist's mobilisation.
- Confidentiality: All geological data, reports, and findings remain the intellectual property of the client upon full payment. The Geologist shall not disclose project details to third parties without written consent.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting service agreement shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have signed and returned the acceptance section below.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of a Professional Geologist for the geological and geotechnical investigation services described herein, to be carried out in South Africa Cape Town, under the terms and conditions set out above.
