1. Scope of Work — Geologist Services in Tanzania Dar es Salaam

This Quotation Estimate is issued by East African Geological & Environmental Consultants Ltd. to provide the services of a qualified Geologist for a comprehensive geological and geotechnical assessment programme in Tanzania Dar es Salaam. The engagement covers a period of twelve (12) weeks commencing from the date of contract execution. The Geologist shall operate in full compliance with the Tanzania Minerals Act (Cap. 364), the Environmental Management Act (Cap. 202), and all applicable regulations issued by the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) and the National Environment Management Council (NEMC).

Geological Mapping & Survey: The Geologist shall conduct detailed geological mapping across a 45 km² area in the Dar es Salaam coastal zone, including identification of rock formations, fault lines, and structural features relevant to urban development planning.
Geotechnical Investigation: Borehole drilling (minimum 12 boreholes at 30 m depth), standard penetration tests (SPT), and soil sampling for laboratory analysis to assess foundation suitability for proposed infrastructure projects in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
Groundwater & Hydrogeological Assessment: The Geologist shall evaluate aquifer characteristics, water table levels, and contamination risks in the Dar es Salaam metropolitan area to support sustainable water resource management.
Environmental Impact Screening: Preparation of a geological component for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report in accordance with NEMC guidelines, focusing on landslide susceptibility, soil erosion, and coastal erosion hazards specific to Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
Mineral Resource Preliminary Survey: Desktop and field-based assessment of potential mineral occurrences (including construction aggregates, sand, and gravel deposits) within the project area to support local material sourcing strategies.
Reporting & Presentation: Submission of a comprehensive final report in both English and Swahili, including GIS-based maps, cross-sections, laboratory data, and a formal presentation to the client's technical committee in Dar es Salaam.

3. Terms & Conditions of This Quotation Estimate

This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Any acceptance beyond this period is subject to revalidation of all rates and availability of the Geologist.
Payment shall be made in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) via bank transfer to the account of East African Geological & Environmental Consultants Ltd., National Bank of Commerce, Dar es Salaam Branch, Account No. 0012-3456-7890.
Payment schedule: 30% advance upon contract signing; 40% upon completion of fieldwork and borehole drilling; 30% upon delivery and acceptance of the final report in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
All work shall be performed in strict adherence to Tanzanian health, safety, and environmental regulations. The Geologist and support team shall carry valid professional insurance and occupational safety certifications.
The client shall provide necessary access permits, local government clearances, and site access within the Dar es Salaam region. Delays caused by the client in providing such access shall extend the project timeline accordingly without additional cost to the client.
All data, reports, and intellectual property generated under this engagement shall become the property of the client upon full payment. The Geologist retains the right to publish anonymized findings in peer-reviewed journals with prior written consent from the client.
This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal service agreement is executed by both parties. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in accordance with the Arbitration Act (Cap. 20).
Force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or civil unrest in Tanzania Dar es Salaam, shall relieve both parties from performance obligations for the duration of such events.
