This Quotation Estimate is issued in accordance with the professional services engagement between the undersigned provider and the client for the retention of a qualified Journalist based in Canada Toronto. The purpose of this document is to outline the scope of journalistic services, associated fees, deliverables, and contractual terms governing the engagement. All rates quoted herein are denominated in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are subject to the applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 13% as mandated by the Canada Revenue Agency for services rendered within the Province of Ontario.
2. Scope of Journalist ServicesThe Journalist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall provide comprehensive media and reporting services tailored to the client's editorial and communications objectives. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following deliverables:

The Journalist assigned to this engagement holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Toronto and is a certified member of the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ). The Journalist shall adhere to the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct established by the Canadian Association of Journalists and the Ontario Press Council. All reporting conducted under this Quotation Estimate will comply with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and all applicable municipal bylaws within the City of Toronto.
4. Terms and Conditions- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Any acceptance beyond the validity period requires written reconfirmation of all rates and terms.
- Payment terms: 50% of the total amount is due upon execution of the service agreement; the remaining 50% is payable within fifteen (15) business days following the completion of the final deliverable. Late payments shall incur interest at a rate of 1.5% per month as permitted under Ontario's Interest Act.
- All intellectual property rights in the final published works shall transfer to the client upon full payment, subject to the Journalist's right of attribution and moral rights as protected under the Copyright Act of Canada.
- The Journalist reserves the right to decline any assignment that conflicts with established editorial independence or that would compromise the integrity of journalistic standards in Canada Toronto.
- Any changes to the scope of work outlined in this Quotation Estimate must be approved in writing by both parties. Additional services will be billed at the rates specified herein or as mutually agreed upon in a supplementary addendum.
- This engagement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through mediation in Toronto, Ontario, before resorting to litigation.
- The Journalist shall carry professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $2,000,000 CAD throughout the duration of the engagement.
- Confidentiality: Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, unpublished sources, and internal communications exchanged during the term of this Quotation Estimate.
