This Quotation Estimate is issued by East Africa Media Solutions Ltd. to Savanna Communications Group for the professional engagement of a Journalist to deliver comprehensive media, editorial, and press coverage services within the Kenya Nairobi metropolitan area and its surrounding regions. This document outlines the scope of work, deliverables, timelines, and the full cost breakdown associated with the proposed Journalist engagement. All pricing in this Quotation Estimate is exclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) applicable under the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations, which will be added at the point of invoicing.
2. Scope of Work – Journalist Services in Kenya NairobiThe Journalist engaged under this Quotation Estimate will be a credentialed, full-time professional with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in news reporting, feature writing, and corporate communications, registered with the National Council for the Media (NCM) in Kenya. The Journalist will be based in Kenya Nairobi and will operate primarily from the client's Upper Hill office, with travel to other locations within Kenya Nairobi County and the wider Nairobi Metropolitan County as required.
The specific duties and deliverables for the Journalist include, but are not limited to:
- Daily news gathering, reporting, and writing of at least three (3) original articles per week for the client's internal corporate newsletter and external press releases distributed across Kenya Nairobi media outlets.
- Attendance and live coverage of a minimum of four (4) corporate events, product launches, and press conferences per month held in Kenya Nairobi, including the preparation of same-day wire copy and photo captions.
- Conducting in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, government officials, and industry leaders within Kenya Nairobi for long-form feature stories and documentary scripts.
- Editing, fact-checking, and quality-assuring all written content produced by the Journalist before publication, in line with the Kenya Press Council Code of Ethics and the client's editorial guidelines.
- Managing the client's social media content calendar, producing at least two (2) short-form video scripts and accompanying captions per week for distribution on platforms such as X (Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Providing weekly written progress reports to the client's Communications Director, summarising all Journalist activities, media placements, and audience engagement metrics.

- A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total Quotation Estimate value (KES 755,856) is due within five (5) business days of acceptance to secure the Journalist's availability.
- The remaining 70% shall be invoiced in equal monthly instalments of KES 314,940, payable within fourteen (14) calendar days of each invoice date.
- All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the company's designated MCB Bank account in Kenya Nairobi. Cheques and cash payments will not be accepted.
- Late payments shall attract a penalty interest of 2% per month, in accordance with the Kenyan Interest and Exchange Rates Act.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Kenya Nairobi.
- The Journalist shall be bound by a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Code of Professional Conduct aligned with the Kenya Press Council standards for the entire duration of the engagement.
- All intellectual property rights in content produced by the Journalist under this Quotation Estimate shall vest in the client upon full and final payment.
- Either party may terminate the engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all services rendered up to the termination date.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal Service Agreement is executed by both parties in Kenya Nairobi.
- Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through mediation in Kenya Nairobi, failing which the matter shall be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Kenya.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined in this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of the Journalist in Kenya Nairobi. This acceptance authorises East Africa Media Solutions Ltd. to commence the proposed services upon receipt of the initial deposit.
