This Quotation Estimate is issued by Cape Town Media & Communications (Pty) Ltd to Atlantic Business Group (Pty) Ltd in respect of the professional engagement of a senior Journalist to deliver a comprehensive corporate media and communications campaign. The services outlined herein are specifically tailored for execution within the metropolitan area of South Africa Cape Town, leveraging the unique media landscape, cultural context, and business environment of the Western Cape province. This document serves as a formal, binding estimate of costs, deliverables, timelines, and professional terms governing the engagement of the Journalist for the duration of the project.
The Journalist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall provide the following professional services within the South Africa Cape Town region:
- Editorial Research and Reporting: Conduct in-depth investigative and feature reporting on the client's corporate activities, industry positioning, and stakeholder engagements across the Cape Town metropolitan area, including the CBD, Atlantic Seaboard, and Southern Suburbs.
- Press Release and Media Statement Drafting: Prepare a minimum of twelve (12) professionally written press releases and media statements per month, distributed to national and local South African media outlets based in Cape Town and beyond.
- Media Relations and Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the Cape Town press corps, including but not limited to the Cape Times, Daily News, IOL, SABC Cape Town, eNCA, and regional broadcast stations.
- Event Coverage and Live Reporting: Attend and provide real-time written and photographic coverage of a minimum of eight (8) corporate events, product launches, and stakeholder meetings held within South Africa Cape Town during the engagement period.
- Content Development for Digital Platforms: Produce long-form articles, opinion pieces, and thought-leadership content for the client's digital media channels, ensuring alignment with South African journalistic standards and ethical guidelines as set forth by the Media, Film and Television Soundness Council (MFBTC).
- Interviews and Profile Pieces: Conduct and publish a minimum of four (4) in-depth interviews with senior executives, industry experts, and community stakeholders in the Cape Town area.
- Monthly Reporting and Strategy Sessions: Present a detailed monthly performance report to the client's communications team and participate in bi-weekly strategy alignment meetings held at the client's Cape Town offices.

4.1 Payment shall be made in three (3) equal monthly instalments of R 157,205.00 (inclusive of VAT), due on the 1st of each calendar month commencing 1 July 2025.
4.2 All payments are to be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the bank account of Cape Town Media & Communications (Pty) Ltd, First National Bank, Cape Town Branch, Account No: 6321 4587 902, Branch Code: 250655.
4.3 Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate permitted by the National Credit Act, 34 of 2005 (South Africa), whichever is lower, calculated from the due date until the date of actual payment.
4.4 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Should the client wish to proceed after the expiry date, a revised Quotation Estimate reflecting current market rates for Journalist services in South Africa Cape Town shall be issued.
The Journalist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall adhere strictly to the Code of Conduct and Ethics as prescribed by the Media, Film and Television Soundness Council (MFBTC) of South Africa. All reporting, editorial content, and media interactions conducted within the South Africa Cape Town jurisdiction shall comply with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and all applicable South African media legislation. The Journalist shall maintain full editorial independence while fulfilling the contractual obligations set forth in this document.
All materials, reports, articles, and media content produced by the Journalist in the course of this engagement shall be the exclusive intellectual property of the client upon full payment of the amounts stipulated in this Quotation Estimate. The Journalist shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, trade secrets, and internal communications of the client encountered during the execution of services in South Africa Cape Town. This confidentiality obligation shall survive the termination of this engagement for a period of twenty-four (24) months.
Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of early termination by the client, all fees for services rendered up to the date of termination, plus a cancellation fee of 15% of the remaining contract value, shall be payable. The Journalist reserves the right to withdraw from this Quotation Estimate engagement with fourteen (14) days' notice in the event of a material breach by the client.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts all terms, conditions, rates, and deliverables as set forth in this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of a professional Journalist in South Africa Cape Town. This document, once signed by both parties, constitutes a binding service agreement.
