The scope of this Quotation Estimate covers a twelve-month initial engagement period with an option to extend for successive twelve-month terms. All pricing is quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and is inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current rate of 10%, unless otherwise stated.
The Laboratory Technician position, as specified in this Quotation Estimate, encompasses the following core responsibilities to be performed at the client's facility in Australia Sydney:
- Preparation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments including spectrophotometers, centrifuges, PCR machines, and analytical balances.
- Execution of routine wet-laboratory procedures including sample collection, processing, aliquoting, and storage in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Performance of quality control checks, reagent preparation, and documentation of all experimental results in line with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation requirements.
- Assistance to senior scientists and laboratory managers in the design and execution of experimental protocols for biomedical research projects.
- Maintenance of laboratory safety compliance, including the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals, biological agents, and radioactive materials per SafeWork NSW guidelines.
- Inventory management of laboratory consumables, reagents, and equipment, including procurement coordination and stock rotation.
- Training and supervision of junior laboratory assistants and visiting research students.
The ideal Laboratory Technician candidate will hold a minimum qualification of a Diploma of Laboratory Technology (HLT46015) or a Bachelor of Science in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment within Australia or an equivalent international jurisdiction.

4.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, all rates and terms are subject to revision without prior notice.
4.2 Payment terms: 50% of the recruitment and onboarding fees (Items 01 and 02) are due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. The remaining 50% is due upon successful commencement of the Laboratory Technician at the client's Australia Sydney facility. Monthly placement fees (Items 03–05 and 08) are invoiced on the first business day of each month, payable within fourteen (14) days of invoice date.
4.3 The Laboratory Technician shall be engaged under a fixed-term contract of twelve (12) months. Early termination by either party requires a minimum of thirty (30) days written notice. Termination within the first three (3) months will incur a fee equal to two (2) months of the placement fee.
4.4 All services rendered under this Quotation Estimate shall comply with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), the National Employment Standards (NES), and the relevant Modern Award applicable to laboratory and scientific occupations in Australia.
4.5 Sydney Scientific Staffing Solutions Pty Ltd shall maintain all necessary professional indemnity, public liability, and workers' compensation insurance as required by the state of New South Wales, Australia.
4.6 The Laboratory Technician shall be required to undergo a National Police Check, Working with Children Check (if applicable), and a medical clearance prior to commencing duties at the client's facility in Australia Sydney.
4.7 Any variation to the scope of services described in this Quotation Estimate must be agreed in writing by both parties prior to implementation.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts all terms, conditions, and pricing outlined in this Quotation Estimate for the supply of a Laboratory Technician in Australia Sydney. This signature constitutes a binding agreement between the parties for the duration of the engagement period specified herein.
