The Laboratory Technician engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties within the Nigeria Abuja healthcare facility:
- Conduct routine haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology tests in accordance with standard operating procedures established by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Operate, calibrate, and perform daily maintenance on laboratory instruments including automated analysers, centrifuges, microscopes, and spectrophotometers.
- Prepare and document patient samples, ensuring accurate labelling, chain-of-custody compliance, and proper storage protocols.
- Generate, verify, and transmit laboratory reports to attending physicians within the stipulated turnaround time of four (4) hours for routine panels and twenty-four (24) hours for complex analyses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-controlled laboratory environment in compliance with the Environmental Health and Safety guidelines issued by the Abuja Environmental Protection Agency (AEPMA).
- Participate in quality assurance programmes, external proficiency testing, and internal audit cycles as mandated by the facility's accreditation body.
- Provide on-call support during emergency situations within the Nigeria Abuja facility premises, including weekend and public holiday coverage on a rotational basis.

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issuance. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing economic conditions in Nigeria Abuja.
- Payment terms: 50% of the total contract value shall be remitted upon execution of the service agreement, and the remaining 50% shall be disbursed in equal monthly instalments on or before the 5th business day of each month.
- The Laboratory Technician shall be subject to a mandatory three (3) month probationary period during which performance will be assessed against the KPIs outlined in Annex A of the service agreement.
- All statutory deductions applicable under Nigerian labour law, including the National Housing Fund (NHF), Pension Act 2014 contributions, and Personal Income Tax (PAYE) as administered by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for the Nigeria Abuja jurisdiction, shall be withheld and remitted by the contracting agency.
- Either party may terminate the engagement with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of termination, all outstanding fees for services rendered up to the termination date shall be settled within fourteen (14) days.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have executed the definitive Service Level Agreement (SLA) incorporating all terms herein.
- All disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Cap A18, LFN 2004), with the seat of arbitration in Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.
The Laboratory Technician to be deployed under this Quotation Estimate must possess a minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) from a recognised institution in Nigeria. The candidate must hold a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) and a minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification experience in a tertiary healthcare facility. Prior experience in a high-volume diagnostic laboratory within the Nigeria Abuja FCT is strongly preferred.
