This document provides a comprehensive, itemized breakdown of all costs associated with the engagement of a Laboratory Technician to support the hospital's clinical diagnostics, microbiology, haematology, and biochemistry departments for a period of twelve (12) months, renewable upon mutual agreement.
The Quotation Estimate has been prepared in full compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (PPDA) of Uganda, 2003, as amended, and adheres to the standards set by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) for professional medical staffing services in Uganda Kampala.
MediTech Professional Services Ltd. shall provide a fully qualified and registered Laboratory Technician who holds a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution in Uganda (e.g., Makerere University School of Biomedical Sciences, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, or Uganda Christian University) and is duly registered with the Uganda Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (UMPD). The Laboratory Technician shall perform the following duties:
- Conduct routine clinical laboratory analyses including complete blood counts (CBC), urinalysis, stool examinations, and blood glucose testing.
- Perform microbiological cultures, sensitivity testing, and parasitology examinations in accordance with WHO and Uganda Ministry of Health protocols.
- Operate and maintain automated haematology, biochemistry, and immunoassay analyzers within the laboratory facility in Uganda Kampala.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) compliance, including participation in external quality assessment schemes.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, patient sample logs, and equipment calibration documentation.
- Adhere to all biosafety, infection control, and waste disposal regulations as stipulated by the Uganda National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).
- Provide on-call support for emergency and critical sample processing during designated hours.

* All amounts are quoted in Ugandan Shillings (UGX). Exchange rate reference: 1 USD ≈ 3,750 UGX as at the date of this Quotation Estimate.
- Validity: This Quotation Estimate shall remain valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, MediTech Professional Services Ltd. reserves the right to revise pricing due to market fluctuations in Uganda Kampala.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made on a monthly basis within fourteen (14) working days of receipt of the invoice. A 2% monthly late payment penalty shall apply to overdue balances.
- Commencement: The Laboratory Technician shall commence duties within ten (10) working days of contract signature and receipt of the first month's payment.
- Termination: Either party may terminate the engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, a pro-rata settlement shall be computed.
- Confidentiality: The Laboratory Technician shall be bound by a strict non-disclosure agreement covering all patient data, hospital protocols, and proprietary information of Kampala Regional Referral Hospital.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent service agreement shall be resolved through mediation in Uganda Kampala, failing which the matter shall be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Kampala, Uganda.
- Compliance: All services shall be delivered in accordance with the Uganda Ministry of Health guidelines, WHO laboratory standards, and applicable Ugandan labour laws.
