This Quotation Estimate is issued by Harrington & Voss Legal Pty Ltd, a registered law firm practising in Australia Melbourne, in response to the client's written request for a comprehensive fee estimate. The Lawyer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall provide the following professional legal services in accordance with the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria) and the rules of the Law Society of Victoria:
- Initial Consultation & Case Assessment: A thorough review of all commercial lease agreements, correspondence, and supporting documentation relating to the disputed tenancy at 142 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000. The Lawyer will prepare a written legal opinion on the client's position under the Commercial Tenancy (Retail and Commercial) Act 2015 (Vic).
- Pre-Litigation Negotiation & Dispute Resolution: The Lawyer will conduct all correspondence with the opposing party's legal representatives, attend up to three (3) mediation sessions before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) or the Victorian Commercial Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service, and draft all settlement proposals on behalf of the client.
- Litigation Representation (if required):strong> Should the dispute proceed to the County Court of Victoria, Melbourne, the Lawyer will prepare and file all necessary court documents, including the Statement of Claim, Defence, and any interlocutory applications. The Lawyer will attend all hearings, cross-examine witnesses, and deliver oral submissions on the client's behalf.
- Enforcement & Post-Judgment Proceedings: The Lawyer will advise on and, if necessary, initiate enforcement proceedings for any judgment obtained in the courts of Australia Melbourne, including the registration of a caveat or the execution of a writ of seizure and sale.
- Ongoing Advisory: General legal advisory services relating to the client's broader commercial property portfolio in the Melbourne metropolitan area, limited to a maximum of ten (10) hours per calendar month.
The following Quotation Estimate sets out the estimated professional fees for the Lawyer's services. All amounts are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current Australian rate of 10%. This Quotation Estimate is prepared in accordance with the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 (Vic) and the Law Society of Victoria's guidelines on transparent fee disclosure.

Note: This Quotation Estimate does not include disbursements such as court filing fees, expert witness costs, transcript fees, or travel expenses incurred by the Lawyer when attending courtrooms or tribunal venues in Australia Melbourne. Disbursements will be billed at cost with receipts provided to the client.
- A retainer of 25% of the total Quotation Estimate amount (AUD $17,168.25) is payable upon execution of the Legal Services Agreement.
- Progress invoices will be issued monthly in arrears, with payment due within fourteen (14) calendar days of the invoice date.
- The final balance shall be payable within twenty-one (21) days of the conclusion of all legal proceedings or the expiry of the engagement, whichever occurs first.
- Interest on overdue amounts shall accrue at the rate prescribed under the Commercial Credit Act 1999 (Vic), currently 10% per annum.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Should the client wish to proceed after the expiry date, the Lawyer reserves the right to reissue the Quotation Estimate at revised rates.
Harrington & Voss Legal Pty Ltd maintains professional indemnity insurance with a limit of not less than AUD $10,000,000 per claim, as required by the Legal Services Board and Complaints Commission (LSBCC) in Victoria, Australia. The Lawyer assigned to this matter is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Victoria. All services rendered under this Quotation Estimate will comply with the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria) and the applicable rules of professional conduct.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the scope of services, fee schedule, and payment terms outlined herein. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding Legal Services Agreement until a separate written engagement letter is executed by both parties in accordance with the requirements of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria).
