This Quotation Estimate is provided by Harrington & Cole Legal Pty Ltd, a registered law firm operating in Sydney, Australia, to set out the estimated costs and professional legal services to be rendered to the above-named client. The Lawyer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall provide the following professional legal services to the client in relation to a commercial lease dispute and associated contractual review matter arising in the Sydney CBD, Australia:
- Initial consultation and comprehensive legal advice regarding the client's commercial lease agreement located at 88 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, NSW 2000, Australia.
- Review and analysis of all relevant contractual documents, correspondence, and supporting evidence pertaining to the dispute.
- Preparation and service of a formal letter of demand to the opposing party, including all necessary legal arguments and references to applicable Australian legislation, including the Property Law Act 1958 (NSW) and the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
- Negotiation and settlement discussions with the opposing party's legal representatives, including up to three (3) telephone conferences and two (2) in-person meetings at the firm's Sydney office.
- Preparation of a settlement agreement or deed of release, subject to the client's approval, in accordance with Australian legal standards.
- Final written legal opinion and advice memorandum summarising the outcome and any residual obligations.
The following Quotation Estimate sets out the itemised costs for the legal services described above. All amounts are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current rate of 10%, as applicable under Australian tax law.

Payment of the fees set out in this Quotation Estimate shall be made as follows: a retainer of 25% (AUD $2,406.25 including GST) is due upon execution of the engagement letter; 50% is due upon completion of the letter of demand and commencement of negotiations; and the remaining 25% is due upon delivery of the final legal opinion. All payments are to be made by direct bank transfer to the firm's nominated account in Sydney, Australia, or by EFTPOS at the firm's office. Late payments may incur interest at the rate prescribed under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW).
This Quotation Estimate does not include costs associated with court proceedings, tribunal hearings, or any litigation that may arise should the matter proceed beyond the scope of negotiation and settlement. Should the Lawyer determine that additional legal work is required beyond the scope described in Section 2, a supplementary Quotation Estimate will be issued to the client for approval prior to any further work being undertaken. Travel expenses outside the Sydney metropolitan area, Australia, will be charged at cost with prior written consent.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. After this period, the Lawyer reserves the right to revise the fees based on prevailing market conditions in Sydney, Australia.
- Acceptance of this Quotation Estimate constitutes agreement to the firm's standard terms of engagement, which are available for inspection at the firm's Sydney office or upon request.
- The Lawyer shall maintain professional indemnity insurance in accordance with the requirements of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and the Law Society of New South Wales.
- All communications, documents, and legal advice provided under this engagement are subject to legal professional privilege under Australian law.
- This Quotation Estimate is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
- The client acknowledges that this Quotation Estimate represents a good-faith estimate and that actual fees may vary by up to 15% depending on the complexity and duration of the legal matter.
- Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the engagement shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and may be referred to the Legal Services Commissioner of NSW.
