Thank you for your inquiry regarding professional legal representation and advisory services. This Quotation Estimate has been prepared by the undersigned Lawyer in good standing with the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, practising from our chambers in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The following document sets out the scope of legal services, the estimated fees, disbursements, and applicable terms governing the engagement. This Quotation Estimate is issued in accordance with the Attorney-at-Law Act (No. 24 of 1972) and the professional fee guidelines established by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka.
The Lawyer, practising in Colombo, Sri Lanka, proposes to provide the following comprehensive legal services to the client as detailed in this Quotation Estimate:
- Full legal representation before the District Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal in Colombo, Sri Lanka;
- Drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts, agreements, and legal instruments;
- Provision of written legal opinions and advisory memoranda on matters of Sri Lankan law;
- Representation in civil, commercial, and corporate disputes;
- Assistance with property transactions, title searches, and registration before the Colombo Land Registry;
- Corporate governance advisory, including company incorporation under the Companies Act (No. 07 of 2007);
- Mediation and alternative dispute resolution facilitation;
- Preparation of affidavits, petitions, writs, and all necessary court filings.
The following Quotation Estimate outlines the professional fees and anticipated disbursements for the legal services rendered by the Lawyer in Colombo, Sri Lanka. All amounts are stated in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise indicated.

Note: The above Quotation Estimate is an approximation based on the current scope of work. The final invoice may vary depending on the complexity of the matter, additional court appearances, or unforeseen legal developments. The Lawyer reserves the right to issue a revised Quotation Estimate should the scope of engagement materially change.
- A retainer deposit of 30% of the total estimated fees (LKR 275,100) shall be payable upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate.
- Subsequent invoices shall be issued monthly in arrears, payable within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt.
- All payments shall be made by bank transfer to the firm's designated account at Commercial Bank of Ceylon, Colombo Branch, or by certified cheque.
- Disbursements and court fees shall be reimbursed at actual cost with supporting receipts.
- A late payment surcharge of 2% per month shall apply to overdue balances.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, the Lawyer reserves the right to revise the fees and terms.
- The Lawyer shall act with the utmost professional diligence, confidentiality, and in accordance with the Rules of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka and the Code of Professional Conduct.
- The client agrees to provide all relevant documents, information, and access necessary for the Lawyer to perform the services described in this Quotation Estimate.
- The Lawyer shall not be liable for any costs, penalties, or adverse outcomes arising from the client's failure to provide timely instructions or information.
- Confidentiality: All information exchanged between the Lawyer and the client in Colombo, Sri Lanka, shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third party without written consent, except as required by law.
- Conflict of Interest: The Lawyer warrants that no conflict of interest exists at the time of issuing this Quotation Estimate. Should a conflict arise, the Lawyer shall immediately notify the client and withdraw from the engagement.
- Termination: Either party may terminate the engagement by providing fourteen (14) days' written notice. Upon termination, the client shall pay for all services rendered up to the date of termination.
- Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and the engagement it describes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a guarantee of any particular legal outcome. The Lawyer shall provide competent and diligent representation but cannot assure a specific result in any legal proceeding.
- All communications between the Lawyer and the client shall be conducted in English or Sinhala/Tamil as mutually agreed upon.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and fee structure outlined herein. The engagement of the Lawyer shall commence upon receipt of the retainer deposit and execution of a formal Retainer Agreement.
