This Quotation Estimate is issued by Biblioteca Professionale di Napoli S.r.l. to provide a comprehensive and itemised cost breakdown for the engagement of a qualified Librarian to deliver professional library management, cataloguing, and reader services within the municipal library network of Naples, Italy. This document constitutes a formal Quotation Estimate and does not represent a binding contract until countersigned by the authorised representative of the client. All pricing is expressed in Euros (EUR) and is subject to the applicable Italian Value Added Tax (IVA) at the current rate of 22%, unless otherwise stated.
The Librarian engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall be a certified professional holding a recognised degree in Library and Information Science (Laurea in Scienze della Comunicazione — Informazione e Documentazione) and shall operate within the historical and cultural context of Naples, Italy. The services encompass the following areas:
- Full management and oversight of the Biblioteca Comunale di Napoli, including daily operations, staff coordination, and budget monitoring.

All amounts are in Euros (EUR). IVA is applied in accordance with Italian tax legislation (D.P.R. 633/1972). This Quotation Estimate is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
4.1 Payment shall be made in quarterly instalments of EUR 43,078.20 (inclusive of IVA), due within 30 days of the end of each calendar quarter, via bank transfer to the account of Biblioteca Professionale di Napoli S.r.l. (IBAN: IT60 X054 2811 1010 0000 0123 456).
4.2 A 10% advance payment of EUR 17,231.28 shall be due upon formal acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and execution of the service contract.
4.3 Late payments shall incur interest at the rate established by the European Commission Regulation (EC) No 117/2003, as applicable to public sector transactions in Italy.
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is issued in accordance with the Italian Public Contracts Code (D.Lgs. 36/2023) and applicable regional regulations of the Regione Campania.
5.2 The Librarian shall comply with all data protection obligations under the GDPR (Regulation EU 2016/679) and the Italian Privacy Code (D.Lgs. 196/2003, as amended by D.Lgs. 101/2018) when handling patron records and personal data within the Naples library system.
5.3 The service period shall commence on 1 October 2025 and conclude on 30 September 2026, unless extended by mutual written agreement.
5.4 Either party may terminate the engagement with 60 days' written notice. In the event of early termination, a pro-rata adjustment to the Quotation Estimate total shall be applied.
5.5 All intellectual property created by the Librarian in the course of this engagement, including cataloguing records, programme materials, and reports, shall remain the property of the Comune di Napoli, Naples, Italy.
5.6 Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved by the competent courts of Naples, Italy, in accordance with Italian civil procedure law.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate for Librarian services in Naples, Italy, and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing set forth herein. This signature constitutes formal acceptance and authorises the commencement of the engagement as described.
