This document outlines the complete scope of services, associated costs, delivery timelines, and contractual terms governing the engagement. The Marine Engineer services described herein are specifically tailored to meet the operational requirements of the client's vessel maintenance and port infrastructure programs conducted within the China Shanghai metropolitan area and its surrounding port zones, including Yangshan Deep Water Port and Waigaoqiao Shipyard.
The Marine Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall possess a minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in marine propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and hull integrity assessment. The engineer shall hold a valid Class 1 Marine Engineer Certificate issued under the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) and shall be registered with the China Maritime Safety Administration (CMSA) for operations within China Shanghai waters and port facilities.
The scope of work for the Marine Engineer includes, but is not limited to: routine inspection and preventive maintenance of main and auxiliary engines; hydrostatic and ultrasonic thickness testing of hull structures; commissioning of newly installed marine equipment; preparation of statutory survey documentation in compliance with Chinese maritime regulations; and technical advisory support for the client's fleet of twelve (12) bulk carriers and four (4) container vessels berthed at China Shanghai terminals.

Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in accordance with the following schedule: a mobilization payment of twenty-five percent (25%) of the grand total shall be due within fourteen (14) calendar days of contract execution; the remaining seventy-five percent (75%) shall be invoiced on a monthly basis in arrears, with payment due within thirty (30) days of invoice receipt. All payments shall be made in Chinese Yuan (CNY) via bank transfer to the account of Shanghai Oceanic Engineering Solutions Co., Ltd. at ICBC, Pudong Branch, China Shanghai. Late payments shall attract an interest charge of 1.5% per month as stipulated under applicable Chinese commercial law.
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, all pricing and availability terms are subject to revision.
5.2 The Marine Engineer assigned to this engagement shall be subject to a background check and medical fitness certification as required for operations in China Shanghai port zones.
5.3 The client shall provide safe working conditions, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and access to all vessels and facilities within the China Shanghai operational area.
5.4 Any change in scope beyond the parameters defined in this Quotation Estimate shall require a written change order signed by both parties before additional work commences.
5.5 This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration at the Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC) in China Shanghai.
5.6 Both parties shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all technical data, vessel specifications, and commercial information exchanged during the course of this engagement.
Important Note: This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties. The Marine Engineer services described are contingent upon the client's existing CMSA permits and port authority clearances for China Shanghai operations.
