2. Scope of Work – Marine Engineer ServicesThis Quotation Estimate is issued by HydroTech Marine Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to provide comprehensive Marine Engineer consultancy, design, and operational support services for the Nepal Inland Waterways Authority. The scope encompasses the full lifecycle of marine engineering infrastructure development within the Nepal Kathmandu metropolitan region and its surrounding riverine corridors. Our team of certified Marine Engineers will deliver expertise in hydrodynamic analysis, vessel design, port infrastructure planning, and environmental impact assessment tailored specifically to the unique topography and waterway conditions of Nepal Kathmandu.
The Marine Engineer engagement includes preliminary feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, construction supervision, commissioning support, and a twelve-month post-completion warranty period. All deliverables will comply with the Nepal Standards and Specifications (NS) as well as international marine engineering benchmarks set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH).

The total amount of this Quotation Estimate shall be paid in the following milestones:
- Advance Payment (30%): NPR 1,898,400 – payable within 14 working days of contract signing, prior to mobilization of the Marine Engineer team to Nepal Kathmandu.
- Progress Payment (40%): NPR 2,531,200 – payable upon completion of detailed design and hydrographic survey deliverables, subject to client approval.
- Completion Payment (25%): NPR 1,582,000 – payable upon successful commissioning and handover of all engineering documentation.
- Warranty Retention (5%): NPR 316,400 – released after the 12-month post-commissioning warranty period expires without unresolved defects.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be revised due to market fluctuations in Nepal Kathmandu.
- All Marine Engineer personnel assigned to this project shall hold valid professional licenses recognized by the Nepal Engineering Council (NEC) and relevant international bodies.
- The client shall provide necessary site access, permits, and regulatory clearances within the Nepal Kathmandu jurisdiction within ten (10) working days of contract execution.
- Any scope change exceeding 10% of the original Quotation Estimate value shall require a written amendment signed by both parties.
- Intellectual property of all design documents, reports, and data generated under this engagement shall vest with the client upon full payment.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Kathmandu, Nepal, in accordance with the Nepal Arbitration Act, 2055 (1998).
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal Service Agreement is executed by both parties.
