The scope encompasses the full spectrum of marine engineering support, including but not limited to main engine maintenance, auxiliary systems inspection, propulsion system diagnostics, HVAC and refrigeration servicing, electrical and automation system calibration, and statutory survey compliance in accordance with the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) regulations and International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards.
Our team of certified Marine Engineer professionals will be deployed to the client's vessel(s) and/or shore-based marine facilities located within the Cape Town harbour precinct, including the V&A Waterfront, Table Bay, and the industrial port areas of Cape Town. All work will be conducted in strict adherence to the Marine Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 14 of 1998) and the relevant South African National Standards (SANS) applicable to marine engineering operations in South Africa Cape Town.

3.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be subject to revision due to fluctuations in spare parts costs, exchange rates, or labour market conditions in South Africa Cape Town.
3.2 Payment Terms: 40% deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; 35% upon completion of major mechanical works; 25% upon final handover and sign-off. All payments are due within fourteen (14) days of invoice date. Late payments will attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as per the National Credit Act.
3.3 Exclusions: This estimate does not include the cost of major replacement components (e.g., full engine block replacement, new propeller fabrication) unless specifically itemised. Any additional work arising from unforeseen conditions discovered during the Marine Engineer inspection will be quoted separately as a supplementary estimate.
3.4 Compliance: All Marine Engineer personnel deployed under this contract hold valid South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) certifications and are registered with the South African Council for Engineering and Technology (SACE). Work performed in South Africa Cape Town will comply with all local municipal by-laws, environmental regulations (NEMA), and harbour authority requirements.
3.5 Insurance & Liability: Oceanic Marine Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd maintains comprehensive marine engineering liability insurance with a cover limit of R50,000,000. The client is responsible for providing safe working access to the vessel or facility and ensuring all necessary permits from the Cape Town Harbour Master are in place prior to commencement.
3.6 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, with jurisdiction vested in the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division, Cape Town.
Important Note: This Quotation Estimate is a good-faith estimate based on the information available at the time of preparation. Final costs may vary by up to 10% depending on the actual condition of the Marine Engineer systems found during initial inspection. The client will be notified in writing of any material variance before additional work proceeds.
