This Quotation Estimate is issued by Carvalho & Filhos Masonry Services for the provision of comprehensive Mason work at the residential and commercial complex located in Brazil Rio de Janeiro. The scope encompasses all masonry-related activities required for the structural completion and finishing of the building, including but not limited to the following tasks:
- Construction of load-bearing and non-load-bearing masonry walls using standard 14 cm and 20 cm ceramic blocks, in compliance with ABNT NBR 16868 and local municipal building codes of Rio de Janeiro.
- Application of cement mortar (1:5 ratio) for block laying, with proper curing procedures adapted to the tropical coastal climate of Brazil Rio de Janeiro.
- Construction of masonry lintels, sills, and structural headers above all door and window openings.
- Installation of masonry partitions for interior compartmentalization across all six floors of the building.
- Application of two-coat cement plaster (reboco) on all interior and exterior masonry surfaces, with a total estimated area of 4,200 square meters.
- Construction of masonry staircases, landings, and associated structural elements as per the approved architectural and structural drawings.
- Repair and reinforcement of existing masonry structures identified during the pre-construction site survey conducted on 28 May 2025.
- Provision of all mason labor, including skilled masons, apprentices, and site supervisors, for the duration of the project.

The total estimated duration for the completion of all masonry works described in this Quotation Estimate is 120 working days, commencing from the date of contract signing and site mobilization. The schedule has been adjusted to account for the seasonal weather patterns typical of Brazil Rio de Janeiro, including the higher humidity and rainfall periods between November and March, which may affect mortar curing times and exterior plaster application.
5. Terms and Conditions- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, prices may be subject to revision based on market fluctuations in construction material costs in the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area.
- All masonry work shall be executed in strict accordance with the technical specifications, architectural drawings, and structural engineering plans approved by the client and the local building authority (Prefeitura da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro).
- The Mason team shall comply with all occupational health and safety regulations established by the Brazilian Ministry of Labor (NR-18 for construction sites) and the state regulations of Rio de Janeiro.
- Payment shall be made in four (4) equal installments, due at the following milestones: 25% upon contract signing and site mobilization; 25% upon completion of all structural masonry walls; 25% upon completion of all plastering works; and 25% upon final inspection and project handover.
- All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account specified in the contract annex. Late payments shall incur a monthly interest rate of 1.5% plus a 2% penalty fee, in accordance with Brazilian commercial law.
- Carvalho & Filhos Masonry Services shall provide a structural warranty of five (5) years on all masonry work performed, covering defects in workmanship and materials under normal use conditions.
- Any changes to the scope of work must be formally documented through a written amendment to this Quotation Estimate, signed by both parties, before additional work commences.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal service agreement is executed by both parties. The terms herein are subject to the final contract terms.
- All disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent contract shall be resolved through the competent courts of the city of Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
