The Mathematician will be physically based in our Madrid office located in the Salamanca district and will attend the client’s premises on Avenida de la Ilustración, Madrid, for a minimum of four (4) days per week. The remaining time shall be allocated to independent research, model development, and report preparation conducted from the Madrid consulting office.

The specific deliverables and responsibilities of the Mathematician include, but are not limited to:

• Design and implementation of stochastic differential equation models for the client’s energy-trading portfolio, to be conducted in Madrid, Spain.
• Development of optimisation algorithms for logistics routing across the Iberian Peninsula, with on-site collaboration in the Madrid headquarters.
• Peer review and validation of existing mathematical frameworks used by the client’s engineering division.
• Preparation of a comprehensive technical report (minimum 80 pages) summarising all mathematical findings, to be delivered in both Spanish and English.
• Two (2) on-site training sessions per month for the client’s internal data-science team, held at the Madrid office.
• Ad-hoc consultation via telephone or secure video link, available Monday through Friday, 09:00–18:00 CET (Central European Time), Madrid working hours.

Payment for the services described in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in three (3) equal instalments of EUR 34,799.60 each, invoiced at the commencement of the engagement, at the three-month mark, and upon final delivery of all deliverables. 1. This Quotation Estimate is non-binding until formally accepted in writing by the client and countersigned by both parties. Upon acceptance, it shall constitute a binding service agreement governed by the laws of Spain, with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid.
2. The Mathematician engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall be bound by a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Non-Compete clause for a period of twelve (12) months following the termination of the engagement, in compliance with Spanish labour and commercial law.
3. All intellectual property generated by the Mathematician during the course of this engagement, while working on client-specific problems in Madrid, Spain, shall vest exclusively in the client, unless otherwise agreed in a supplementary written addendum.
4. The client agrees to provide the Mathematician with reasonable access to all relevant data, documentation, and systems necessary to perform the services, to be made available at the Madrid office or via secure digital channels.
5. Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days’ written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all services rendered up to the date of termination, as itemised in a final reconciliation statement.
6. This Quotation Estimate does not include any costs related to international travel outside the Madrid metropolitan area. Should the client require the Mathematician to travel to other locations in Spain or abroad, such costs shall be quoted separately and require prior written approval.
7. All communications, reports, and deliverables shall be produced in accordance with the applicable data-protection regulations of the European Union (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
