This Quotation Estimate is issued by our firm to formally present the projected costs, deliverables, and professional engagement terms for the deployment of a Mechatronics Engineer to support the Kyoto Advanced Manufacturing Consortium in the Japan Kyoto metropolitan area. The scope of this engagement encompasses the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of automated production lines, robotic assembly systems, and embedded control architectures within the client's manufacturing facilities located in the Sakyo-ku and Nakagyo-ku districts of Japan Kyoto.
The Mechatronics Engineer assigned to this project will operate under the direct technical supervision of the client's Chief Operations Officer while maintaining full compliance with Japanese industrial safety standards (JIS), the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (DENAN), and all applicable municipal regulations governing industrial automation in the Japan Kyoto region.
- System Design & Architecture: The Mechatronics Engineer shall produce comprehensive schematics, PLC ladder logic, and HMI interface designs for three (3) new automated assembly cells to be installed at the Japan Kyoto facility by Q4 2025.
- Hardware Integration: Procurement coordination, installation, and calibration of servo-driven robotic arms (FANUC M-20iD series), pneumatic actuators, and sensor arrays (photoelectric, inductive, and vision-based) across the production floor in Japan Kyoto.
- Software & Firmware Development: Programming of embedded microcontrollers (STM32 and ESP32 platforms), SCADA database configuration, and real-time communication protocols (EtherCAT, PROFINET, and Modbus TCP) to ensure seamless interoperability between mechanical, electrical, and computational subsystems.
- Testing & Commissioning: Execution of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) protocols, including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and 72-hour continuous operational endurance trials conducted on-site in Japan Kyoto.
- Documentation & Training: Delivery of complete as-built documentation, maintenance manuals, and a minimum of forty (40) hours of hands-on operator training for the client's in-house technical staff at the Japan Kyoto plant.

4.1 — A mobilization advance of 25% of the total Quotation Estimate value shall be invoiced upon signed acceptance of this document and execution of the master service agreement.
4.2 — Progress payments of 25% each shall be issued at the completion of the Design & Architecture phase and the Integration & Commissioning phase, respectively, subject to client sign-off on deliverables.
4.3 — The remaining 25% balance, inclusive of the post-commissioning support retainer, shall be payable in equal monthly installments over the twelve-month support window.
4.4 — All payments shall be remitted via bank transfer to the account designated in the master agreement. Late payments shall accrue interest at 1.5% per month in accordance with Japanese commercial practice.
5.1 — This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in the Japan Kyoto engineering services sector.
5.2 — The Mechatronics Engineer team shall have unrestricted access to the client's Japan Kyoto facility during agreed working hours (08:00–17:00 JST, Monday through Friday). Overtime work exceeding 10 hours per week shall be billed at 1.5× the standard daily rate.
5.3 — The client is responsible for providing all third-party hardware (robotic arms, sensors, PLCs, and network infrastructure) listed in Appendix A of the master agreement. Our firm's obligation is limited to the engineering, integration, and commissioning of such components.
5.4 — Any scope deviation exceeding 10% of the originally defined work package shall trigger a formal change-order process, and a revised Quotation Estimate shall be issued prior to commencement of the additional work.
5.5 — All intellectual property generated specifically for the client during this engagement shall vest in the client upon full payment. Pre-existing proprietary methodologies, code libraries, and design templates of our firm shall remain the exclusive property of our firm.
5.6 — This engagement is governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting service agreement shall be resolved through arbitration at the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA) in Kyoto.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and cost projections outlined herein for the engagement of a Mechatronics Engineer team at the specified Japan Kyoto facility.
