This document serves as the official Quotation Estimate for all engineering consultancy, on-site technical support, and system integration services to be delivered within the Kenya Nairobi metropolitan area and its surrounding industrial zones.
The Mechatronics Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate holds a BSc in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Kenya Nairobi, with over twelve years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, robotics, embedded systems, and control engineering. All services outlined in this Quotation Estimate comply with the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) regulations and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of Kenya.
The Mechatronics Engineer will deliver the following services as part of this Quotation Estimate:
- Site assessment and feasibility study at the client's facility in Kenya Nairobi, including electrical load analysis, mechanical layout review, and control system architecture design.
- Design and programming of PLC-based control systems (Siemens S7-1500 and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix) for three automated assembly lines.
- Integration of industrial robotic arms (KUKA KR-210) with existing conveyor systems, including end-effector calibration and safety interlock configuration.
- Development of a SCADA/HMI supervisory control interface for real-time monitoring of production KPIs across all three lines.
- Installation, wiring, and commissioning of servo drives, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and pneumatic actuation systems.
- Programming of embedded microcontroller units (STM32 and ESP32) for sensor data acquisition and edge-level decision logic.
- Conducting a minimum of forty (40) hours of on-site training for the client's operations and maintenance teams in Kenya Nairobi.
- Provision of as-built documentation, wiring schematics, ladder logic source code, and a comprehensive operations manual.

4.1 – A mobilization advance of thirty percent (30%) of the total Quotation Estimate value, amounting to KES 1,595,232, shall be payable within seven (7) working days of acceptance of this document.
4.2 – A progress payment of forty percent (40%), amounting to KES 2,126,976, shall be due upon successful completion of the PLC programming, robotic integration, and electrical commissioning milestones.
4.3 – The final balance of thirty percent (30%), amounting to KES 1,595,232, shall be payable within fourteen (14) days of final acceptance sign-off and delivery of all documentation by the Mechatronics Engineer.
4.4 – All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account of KenyaTech Engineering Solutions Ltd., Equity Bank, Kenya Nairobi Branch, Account No. 0045-7821-3390. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 2% per month as stipulated under Kenyan commercial law.
5.1 – This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, rates may be revised to reflect market conditions in Kenya Nairobi.
5.2 – The Mechatronics Engineer shall adhere to all applicable Kenyan health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project duration. The client is responsible for providing a safe working environment and necessary site access.
5.3 – Any changes to the scope of work beyond what is stated in this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a separate change-order agreement and additional cost assessment.
5.4 – A warranty period of twelve (12) months shall apply to all programming, integration, and commissioning work performed by the Mechatronics Engineer. Hardware warranties are governed by the respective manufacturers' terms.
5.5 – Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Kenya Nairobi in accordance with the Arbitration Act, Cap 15 of the Laws of Kenya.
5.6 – All intellectual property, source code, and documentation produced under this engagement shall become the property of the client upon full and final payment.
Note: This Quotation Estimate does not include the cost of procurement of hardware components (PLCs, robotic arms, servo drives, sensors, cabling, and enclosures). A separate Bill of Quantities for hardware procurement will be issued upon the client's written request. All rates are exclusive of any applicable withholding tax under the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations.By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and scope of work outlined herein for the engagement of the Mechatronics Engineer in Kenya Nairobi.
