This Quotation Estimate is issued by Meridian Research Consultancy Ltd. in response to the formal request for proposal submitted by St. Bartholomew's Research Institute on 28 May 2025. The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive, itemised financial estimate for the recruitment, deployment, and ongoing management of a qualified Medical Researcher to support the Institute's Phase III oncology clinical trial programme. All rates, deliverables, and conditions set forth in this Quotation Estimate are specific to operations conducted within United Kingdom London and are subject to the regulatory framework governing medical research in the United Kingdom, including compliance with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the National Health Service (NHS) Research Ethics Service, and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (as amended by the UK GDPR).

The Medical Researcher engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties and responsibilities throughout the contract period:

Design and implementation of a Phase III randomised controlled trial protocol for a novel immunotherapy agent targeting non-small cell lung carcinoma, conducted across three London-based NHS Trust sites.
Supervision of a team of no fewer than six (6) junior research associates, data managers, and laboratory technicians based at the Institute's primary facility in central London.
Preparation, submission, and maintenance of all regulatory documentation required by the MHRA and the relevant Research Ethics Committee (REC) for trial approval and ongoing compliance.
Conduct of bi-weekly site monitoring visits to partner hospitals in the London Borough of Camden, the City of Westminster, and the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Authorship and co-authorship of a minimum of two (2) peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognised oncology journals during the engagement period.
Attendance at and presentation of findings at no fewer than three (3) national or international medical research conferences, with travel within the United Kingdom and one (1) international conference to be covered under this estimate.
Maintenance of a fully auditable data management system in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines as published by the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH).

The following table sets out the detailed financial components of this Quotation Estimate. All figures are expressed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the standard rate of 20%, unless otherwise stated.

Payment for the services described in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in quarterly instalments in advance. The first instalment of £54,784.35 (inclusive of VAT) shall be due within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. Subsequent quarterly payments shall be due on 1 September 2025, 1 December 2025, and 1 March 2026. All payments shall be made by direct bank transfer to the account of Meridian Research Consultancy Ltd. at Barclays Bank, London, Sort Code: 20-15-88, Account No.: 55443322. Late payments shall attract interest at a rate of 2% per month in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. Thereafter, all rates and terms are subject to revision without prior notice.
The Medical Researcher shall be engaged on a fixed-term contract of twelve (12) months, commencing on 1 September 2025, with the option of a six (6) month extension by mutual written agreement.
All research activities shall be conducted in strict compliance with the UK Clinical Research Regulations 2004, the MHRA's Good Clinical Practice guidance, and the ethical standards of the relevant Research Ethics Committee in United Kingdom London.
Meridian Research Consultancy Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from the performance or non-performance of the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate.
Intellectual property generated by the Medical Researcher during the course of this engagement shall be jointly owned by Meridian Research Consultancy Ltd. and St. Bartholomew's Research Institute, as further detailed in a separate Intellectual Property Agreement to be executed prior to commencement.
This Quotation Estimate is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, with the primary venue being the Royal Courts of Justice, London.
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform its obligations under this Quotation Estimate to the extent that such failure is caused by force majeure, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemics, government-imposed restrictions, or civil unrest within the United Kingdom.
All personal data processed in connection with this engagement shall be handled in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) shall be executed as a schedule to the main contract.

By signing below, the parties confirm their acceptance of the terms, conditions, and financial provisions set out in this Quotation Estimate. This document, once countersigned, shall constitute a binding agreement between Meridian Research Consultancy Ltd. and St. Bartholomew's Research Institute for the engagement of the Medical Researcher as described herein.
