This Quotation Estimate is issued by Atmospheric Sciences & Meteorological Consulting Group (ASMC) in response to the formal request from the Qatar National Weather & Climate Authority for the provision of specialized Meteorologist services to be deployed and operated within the Qatar Doha metropolitan area and surrounding governorates. The scope encompasses the following deliverables:

  • Senior Meteorologist Deployment (Full-Time): Provision of one (1) certified Senior Meteorologist with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in tropical and arid-climate forecasting, to be stationed at the QNWC headquarters in Doha, Qatar. The Meteorologist shall be responsible for daily synoptic analysis, severe weather forecasting, and the issuance of public weather advisories specific to the Qatar Doha region.
  • Specialized Meteorologist Support (Part-Time): Provision of two (2) mid-level Meteorologists on a part-time basis (20 hours per week each) to assist with numerical weather prediction model runs, data quality assurance, and the maintenance of the automated weather observation network across Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, and Al Khor.
  • Climate Impact Assessment: The assigned Meteorologist team shall conduct a comprehensive climate impact assessment for the Qatar Doha area, focusing on the effects of increasing heat indices, dust storm frequency, and shifting monsoon patterns on local infrastructure, agriculture, and public health over the next ten-year period.
  • Emergency Weather Response Planning: Development and annual review of the Emergency Meteorological Response Protocol for Qatar Doha, including pre-season briefings for civil defense, aviation authorities (Hamad International Airport), and maritime operations in the Doha port area.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Delivery of four (4) specialized training workshops per year for QNWC junior staff, covering advanced Meteorologist techniques in radar interpretation, satellite meteorology, and ensemble forecasting tailored to the unique atmospheric conditions of Qatar Doha.

  • This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates for the Meteorologist services listed herein are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Qatar Doha.
  • Payment terms: 40% advance upon contract signing, 30% upon completion of the Climate Impact Assessment, and 30% upon successful delivery of the final annual Meteorologist performance review.
  • All Meteorologist personnel assigned under this Quotation Estimate shall comply with the Qatar Labour Law (Law No. 14 of 2004) and the regulations of the Qatar Meteorological Society.
  • The Senior Meteorologist shall maintain a valid professional license issued or recognized by the Qatar Doha regulatory authority for meteorological practitioners.
  • ASMC reserves the right to substitute any individual Meteorologist with a candidate of equivalent or superior qualifications, subject to prior written approval by the Client.
  • All data, reports, and forecasts produced by the Meteorologist team under this engagement shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Qatar National Weather & Climate Authority.
  • This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal Service Agreement is executed by both parties in Doha, Qatar.

By signing below, the Client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate for Meteorologist services in Qatar Doha and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined in this document. This acceptance authorizes ASMC to proceed with the recruitment and deployment of the specified Meteorologist team.
