The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive, itemized breakdown of all costs associated with the Musician's services, including performance fees, rehearsal time, instrument preparation, travel, accommodation, and any ancillary expenses required to deliver a world-class musical experience in the culturally rich setting of Japan Kyoto.

The Musician, Haruki Tanaka, is a certified shakuhachi and koto performer with over twenty-two years of professional experience in traditional and contemporary Japanese music. The ensemble will consist of five (5) additional musicians specializing in shamisen, biwa, taiko drums, and vocal performance. This Quotation Estimate reflects the full scope of services as discussed during the preliminary consultation held on March 28, 2025, at the Kyoto International Conference Center.

In accordance with the terms outlined in this Quotation Estimate, payment shall be structured as follows:

Deposit (40%): JPY 1,614,360 — Due within seven (7) business days of acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. This deposit secures the Musician's availability and confirms the booking for the Japan Kyoto event dates.
Second Payment (40%): JPY 1,614,360 — Due fourteen (14) days prior to the performance date.
Final Balance (20%): JPY 807,180 — Due within five (5) business days following the conclusion of the final performance and workshop session.

All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account designated by Tanaka Ensemble Kyoto. Late payments exceeding ten (10) business days will incur a surcharge of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.

This Quotation Estimate is a binding offer only upon written acceptance by both parties. Verbal agreements do not constitute acceptance.
The Musician and ensemble reserve the right to reschedule in the event of natural disasters, public health emergencies, or government-mandated restrictions within Japan Kyoto, with full refund of deposits already paid.
All intellectual property rights to the original composition (Item 09) shall be jointly owned by the Musician and the client, with the Musician retaining the right to perform the piece at other venues in Japan Kyoto and internationally.
The client agrees to provide a suitable performance space with adequate acoustics, power supply, and climate control as specified in the technical rider attached to this Quotation Estimate.
Any changes to the scope of services, performance duration, or venue location within Japan Kyoto must be communicated in writing at least ten (10) days prior to the event. Additional costs arising from such changes will be itemized in a supplementary Quotation Estimate.
This Quotation Estimate does not include international travel, visa processing, or airfare for the client's representatives. All costs are limited to services rendered within the Japan Kyoto metropolitan area.
Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through mediation in accordance with the laws of Japan, with the jurisdiction of the Kyoto District Court.

By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms, conditions, and cost figures presented in this Quotation Estimate for the Musician's professional services in Japan Kyoto.
