This Quotation Estimate is formally issued by the Shanghai International Education Consortium (SIEC) to provide a comprehensive and itemized financial breakdown for the engagement of a distinguished Professor to deliver a specialized academic programme within the greater China Shanghai metropolitan region. The scope of this engagement encompasses a twelve-month residency period during which the Professor shall conduct advanced research supervision, deliver graduate-level lectures, lead interdisciplinary seminars, and mentor doctoral candidates at the host institution. All costs outlined in this Quotation Estimate reflect current market rates applicable to the China Shanghai academic and professional services sector as of the date of issue.
The Professor engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall hold a confirmed full Professorial rank in the field of Advanced Materials Science or a closely related discipline, with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of post-doctoral research experience and a verifiable publication record in internationally indexed journals. The Professor is expected to reside in China Shanghai for the full duration of the engagement and shall be based at the host university's Pudong campus. The Professor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: delivering no fewer than forty-eight (48) contact hours of graduate instruction per academic year; supervising a minimum of six (6) doctoral research students; publishing at least two (2) peer-reviewed articles in collaboration with local faculty; and representing the institution at no fewer than three (3) international academic conferences held within China Shanghai or the broader Yangtze River Delta region.

Payment for the services described in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in Chinese Yuan (CNY) via bank transfer to the designated SIEC account in China Shanghai. The payment schedule is structured as follows: an initial deposit of thirty percent (30%) of the grand total shall be due within fourteen (14) calendar days of mutual acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; the remaining seventy percent (70%) shall be disbursed in four (4) equal quarterly instalments, each due on the first business day of January, April, July, and October of the engagement year. All payments are subject to the standard inter-bank processing fees applicable within the China Shanghai financial system.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and cost components are subject to revision based on prevailing China Shanghai market conditions and regulatory changes.
- The Professor's engagement is contingent upon successful completion of all visa, work-permit, and immigration procedures mandated by the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau and the National Immigration Administration of the People's Republic of China.
- Any change in scope, duration, or deliverables beyond those specified herein shall require a formal amendment to this Quotation Estimate, executed in writing by both parties.
- The Professor shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, including but not limited to the Foreign Experts Administration Regulations and local China Shanghai municipal ordinances governing foreign academic personnel.
- Intellectual property generated during the engagement shall be jointly owned by the Professor and the host institution, as detailed in a separate Intellectual Property Agreement to be executed prior to the commencement of services.
- Early termination by either party beyond the initial ninety-day probationary period shall incur a penalty equal to fifty percent (50%) of the remaining unfulfilled contract value, as stipulated in this Quotation Estimate.
- All disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration under the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (SHIAC) in accordance with its then-current rules.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms, conditions, and cost figures set forth in this Quotation Estimate for the Professor engagement in China Shanghai. This document, once countersigned, constitutes a binding financial commitment and shall be filed with the host institution's procurement office and the SIEC administrative registry in Shanghai.
