This Quotation Estimate is issued in response to the formal request submitted by the Sri Lanka Colombo Institute of Advanced Studies for the engagement of a distinguished Professor to deliver a comprehensive academic programme covering advanced research methodologies, doctoral supervision, and postgraduate lecture series. The scope of this Quotation Estimate encompasses all professional fees, travel arrangements, accommodation, and ancillary services required to facilitate the Professor's engagement within the Sri Lanka Colombo metropolitan area for a period of twelve (12) consecutive weeks commencing 1 September 2025.
The Professor to be engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall hold a full Professorial rank in a relevant discipline, possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of post-doctoral experience, and demonstrate a verifiable record of peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognised journals. The engagement is specifically tailored to the academic calendar and institutional requirements of the Sri Lanka Colombo campus.
The Professor engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall provide the following services at the Sri Lanka Colombo campus and affiliated research centres:
- Delivery of a 48-hour postgraduate lecture series spanning three core modules (Research Design, Advanced Statistical Analysis, and Academic Writing & Publication Ethics).
- Supervision and mentorship of no fewer than twelve (12) doctoral candidates currently enrolled at the Sri Lanka Colombo Institute of Advanced Studies.
- Conduct of two (2) full-day research workshops for faculty members and senior postgraduate students.
- Participation in one (1) institutional review board meeting and one (1) public academic seminar open to the Sri Lanka Colombo scholarly community.
- Preparation of a written end-of-engagement report summarising academic outcomes, student feedback, and recommendations for future Professor engagements.

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and the total Quotation Estimate amount are subject to revision based on prevailing exchange rates, inflation indices, and institutional policy changes in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- Payment shall be made in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) via bank transfer to the account designated by the Professor's home institution. A 40% advance payment is due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, 40% is due at the midpoint of the engagement (Week 6), and the remaining 20% is due within fourteen (14) days of the Professor's departure from Sri Lanka Colombo.
- The Sri Lanka Colombo Institute of Advanced Studies shall provide a dedicated office space, access to the institutional library and digital databases, and all necessary teaching equipment (projector, whiteboard, audio-visual systems) at the Sri Lanka Colombo campus.
- The Professor shall be required to comply with all academic integrity policies, data protection regulations, and institutional codes of conduct as prescribed by the Sri Lanka Colombo Institute of Advanced Studies and the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.
- Any cancellation by the client institution within thirty (30) days of the scheduled commencement date shall result in a 50% penalty on the total Quotation Estimate amount. Cancellations after the Professor's arrival in Sri Lanka Colombo shall incur a 100% penalty.
- This Quotation Estimate does not include costs for the Professor's personal research travel, conference attendance unrelated to the engagement, or any additional services not explicitly itemised above. Any such additional requirements shall be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate.
- All intellectual property generated during the engagement, including lecture materials, workshop outputs, and the end-of-engagement report, shall be jointly owned by the Professor and the Sri Lanka Colombo Institute of Advanced Studies, with full attribution to the Professor as the primary author.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Sri Lanka Colombo in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Sri Lanka.
By signing below, the undersigned parties confirm their acceptance of the terms, conditions, and financial obligations outlined in this Quotation Estimate for the Professor engagement in Sri Lanka Colombo. This document, once countersigned, constitutes a binding agreement between the parties.
