This Quotation Estimate has been prepared by Apex Robotics Solutions Ltd to provide NorthWest Manufacturing Group plc with a comprehensive and itemised financial proposal for the engagement of a senior Robotics Engineer to deliver a full-cycle automation and robotic systems integration project. This Quotation Estimate covers all professional consultancy, design, implementation, testing, and commissioning activities to be carried out at the client's premises in the United Kingdom Manchester region, as well as any off-site laboratory work required at our Manchester facility. All pricing within this Quotation Estimate is quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and is inclusive of all travel, accommodation, and on-site supervision costs within the United Kingdom Manchester metropolitan area.
The Robotics Engineer assigned to this project will hold a minimum of twelve years of progressive experience in industrial robotic systems, collaborative robot (cobot) deployment, and mechatronic system design. The scope of work outlined in this Quotation Estimate encompasses the following deliverables:
- Site Assessment & Feasibility Study: A full on-site audit of the existing production line at the Eccles facility in United Kingdom Manchester, including throughput analysis, ergonomic risk assessment, and identification of automation opportunities. The Robotics Engineer will produce a detailed feasibility report within fourteen (14) working days of project commencement.
- System Design & Engineering: Complete mechanical, electrical, and control-system design for a six-axis robotic cell and two collaborative robot workstations. This includes CAD modelling, PLC programming (Siemens S7-1500 and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix), HMI development, and safety interlock architecture compliant with UK Machinery Regulations 2008 and ISO 10218-1/2 standards.
- Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination: The Robotics Engineer will manage the procurement of all robotic hardware, end-effectors, safety fencing, light curtains, and associated electrical components. All equipment will be sourced from approved UK-based suppliers to ensure compliance with CE and UKCA marking requirements applicable in the United Kingdom.
- Installation, Programming & Commissioning: Full on-site installation at the United Kingdom Manchester premises, including robotic cell assembly, teach-pendant programming, vision system calibration, and integration with the existing SCADA/ERP infrastructure. The Robotics Engineer will conduct a minimum of three (3) full commissioning cycles before sign-off.
- Operator Training & Documentation: A structured training programme for up to eight (8) client operators and two (2) maintenance technicians, delivered over five (5) working days at the United Kingdom Manchester site. Comprehensive as-built documentation, operation manuals, and maintenance schedules will be provided in both hard copy and digital PDF format.
- Post-Commissioning Support: A ninety (90) day warranty and remote support period following final acceptance, during which the Robotics Engineer will remain available for troubleshooting, parameter tuning, and minor reprogramming at no additional cost.

The total estimated project duration is approximately twenty-six (26) weeks from the date of contract execution. The Robotics Engineer will be based primarily at the client's United Kingdom Manchester facility during installation and commissioning phases, with design and procurement activities conducted from our Salford Quys office. A detailed Gantt chart and milestone schedule will be appended to the final contract documentation. Key milestones include: Feasibility Report (Week 3), Design Sign-Off (Week 8), Hardware Delivery (Week 14), Commissioning Complete (Week 22), and Final Handover (Week 26).
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, pricing may be subject to revision due to market fluctuations in component costs or exchange rate movements.
- Payment terms: 30% advance deposit upon contract signing, 40% upon completion of installation and first successful commissioning cycle, and 30% upon final acceptance and handover. All invoices are payable within thirty (30) days of issue in accordance with the United Kingdom Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- All work performed by the Robotics Engineer shall comply with applicable United Kingdom legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, and the UKCA/CE marking requirements for machinery placed on the market in the United Kingdom.
- Any variation to the scope of work outlined in this Quotation Estimate must be agreed in writing by both parties prior to commencement. Variations exceeding 10% of the total Quotation Estimate value will require a formal change order and revised pricing schedule.
- Apex Robotics Solutions Ltd shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of no less than £5,000,000 and public liability insurance of no less than £10,000,000 for the duration of the project. Certificates of insurance will be provided upon request.
- This Quotation Estimate does not include the cost of robotic hardware, end-effectors, safety equipment, or third-party software licences unless explicitly stated in the itemised pricing table above. Hardware costs will be quoted separately upon confirmation of the design specification.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any litigation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Manchester, United Kingdom.
- Confidentiality: All proprietary information, trade secrets, and technical data exchanged between the parties in connection with this Quotation Estimate and the subsequent project shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third party without prior written consent.
