This Quotation Estimate has been prepared to provide Meridian Digital Group with a comprehensive, itemised cost breakdown for the engagement of a Senior Software Engineer to deliver a full-stack platform development project. This Quotation Estimate reflects current market rates for Software Engineer services in New Zealand Auckland and is structured in accordance with the New Zealand Business Quotation Standards (NZS 4306). All pricing within this Quotation Estimate is quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and includes applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate of 15%.
The Software Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate will be responsible for the following deliverables and activities within the New Zealand Auckland technology ecosystem:
- Requirements analysis, system architecture design, and technical documentation for a customer-facing e-commerce platform.
- Full-stack development using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, with deployment to AWS infrastructure hosted in the ap-southeast-2 (Sydney) region for optimal latency to New Zealand Auckland users.
- Integration of the Xero accounting API and Stripe payment gateway to comply with New Zealand financial reporting obligations.
- Implementation of comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end test suites achieving a minimum of 85% code coverage.
- DevOps pipeline configuration including CI/CD via GitHub Actions, containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes, and automated infrastructure-as-code via Terraform.

As outlined in this Quotation Estimate, payment shall be structured as follows to align with the Software Engineer delivery milestones:
- 20% deposit (NZD $227,355.00) due upon execution of the contract, prior to the Software Engineer commencing work.
- 30% milestone payment (NZD $341,032.50) due upon completion of Core Platform Development (Item 02).
- 30% milestone payment (NZD $341,032.50) due upon successful completion of Testing, QA, and Security Audit (Items 04 & 05).
- 20% final payment (NZD $227,355.00) due upon acceptance of the final deliverable and completion of hypercare support.
All invoices will be issued in accordance with the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department (IRD) requirements. Payment is due within fourteen (14) calendar days of the invoice date. Late payments will attract interest at the rate prescribed under the New Zealand Contracts (General) Act 1956.
Important: This Quotation Estimate is based on the following assumptions. Any material change to scope, timeline, or technical requirements may result in a revised Quotation Estimate issued by TechNova Solutions Ltd.
- The Software Engineer will work a standard 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, within New Zealand Auckland business hours (NZST/NZDT).
- Client-provided access to all necessary third-party accounts, source code repositories, and staging environments will be available within five (5) business days of contract execution.
- This Quotation Estimate does not include ongoing post-hypercare maintenance, which may be quoted separately at a Software Engineer rate of $1,850 per day.
- Travel expenses within the Auckland metropolitan area are included. Travel outside the Auckland region will be billed at cost with a 10% administrative surcharge.
- All intellectual property created by the Software Engineer during the engagement shall vest in Meridian Digital Group upon full payment, subject to the terms of the New Zealand Copyright Act 1994.
This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue, i.e., until 14 September 2025. Should the client wish to proceed beyond this period, a revised Quotation Estimate reflecting any changes in Software Engineer market rates in New Zealand Auckland will be provided. Acceptance of this Quotation Estimate constitutes agreement to all terms, conditions, and pricing set forth herein. A formal Statement of Work (SOW) and Master Services Agreement (MSA) will be executed prior to the commencement of any Software Engineer activities.
