This Quotation Estimate is issued by Quantum Analytics & Statistical Consulting (Pty) Ltd to provide a comprehensive and transparent financial breakdown for the engagement of a senior Statistician to deliver advanced data analysis, modelling, and reporting services to the Atlantic Research Institute. All services described herein will be performed and delivered within the greater South Africa Cape Town metropolitan area, ensuring local regulatory compliance, proximity to the client's operational base, and adherence to South African statistical and data protection standards.
The Statistician engaged under this Quotation Estimate will provide the following professional services to the client, all conducted in and around South Africa Cape Town:
- Design and implementation of robust statistical sampling frameworks for the client's ongoing marine biodiversity research programme.
- Development of multivariate regression models, Bayesian hierarchical models, and machine learning classification algorithms tailored to the client's ecological datasets.
- Conduct of power analyses, hypothesis testing, and confidence interval estimation for all experimental and observational data collected in the South Africa Cape Town coastal region.
- Preparation of peer-review-ready statistical reports, visualisations, and reproducible analysis code (R and Python) for submission to international journals.
- On-site consultation and workshop facilitation at the client's Rondebosch laboratory, with a minimum of four (4) half-day sessions per month.

This Quotation Estimate is structured on a milestone-based payment schedule. The client shall remit payment within fourteen (14) calendar days of invoice issuance. The payment milestones are as follows: 30% upon contract signature, 40% upon completion of the modelling phase, and 30% upon final delivery of all reports and code. All payments shall be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the company's FNB business account. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as prescribed under the South African National Credit Act.
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, pricing may be revised to reflect current market conditions in the South Africa Cape Town professional services sector.
5.2 The Statistician assigned to this engagement shall be a Chartered Statistician (CSA) registered with the South African Statistical Association and shall hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
5.3 All intellectual property generated under this engagement, including models, code, and reports, shall vest in the client upon full payment. The Statistician retains the right to reference the engagement in professional portfolios with prior written consent.
5.4 The Statistician shall comply with all applicable South African legislation, including POPIA, the National Environmental Management Act, and any municipal by-laws applicable to research activities in South Africa Cape Town.
5.5 Any changes to the scope of work beyond the parameters outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a formal variation order and additional cost assessment, to be agreed upon in writing by both parties.
5.6 Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through mediation in Cape Town, South Africa, in accordance with the rules of the Cape Town Arbitration Centre, failing which the parties may approach the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division, Cape Town.
This Quotation Estimate assumes that the client will provide all raw data, field notes, and preliminary documentation in a timely manner. Costs associated with data collection in the field, laboratory analysis, or third-party data procurement are excluded. The Statistician will not be responsible for delays caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to severe weather conditions affecting the South Africa Cape Town coastal research sites, government-imposed restrictions, or infrastructure failures.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate in its entirety, including all terms, conditions, and the scope of Statistician services to be delivered in South Africa Cape Town. This acceptance constitutes a binding agreement between the parties.
