This Quotation Estimate has been prepared specifically to outline the scope, deliverables, and associated costs for the engagement of a qualified Systems Engineer to support infrastructure design, implementation, and ongoing technical management within the New Zealand Auckland metropolitan area. This document serves as a formal Quotation Estimate and does not constitute a binding contract until signed and accepted by both parties. All pricing is quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current rate of 15%.
The Systems Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate will be responsible for the following activities within the New Zealand Auckland operational environment:
- Infrastructure Assessment & Design: Conduct a comprehensive audit of the existing IT infrastructure across all New Zealand Auckland office locations, including server rooms, network switches, and cloud connectivity. Produce a detailed architecture blueprint aligned with industry best practices.
- Server & Network Configuration: Design, configure, and deploy physical and virtual servers (Windows Server 2022, Linux RHEL 9) and enterprise-grade networking equipment to meet the operational requirements of the client's Auckland-based operations.
- Cloud Migration & Hybrid Integration: Plan and execute the migration of legacy on-premises workloads to a hybrid cloud environment (AWS Sydney region / Microsoft Azure New Zealand region), ensuring minimal downtime for Auckland-based end users.
- Security Hardening & Compliance: Implement security controls in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, NZS 4201:2017 (Information Security Management), and relevant Auckland Council IT security guidelines. This includes firewall configuration, intrusion detection, and access control policies.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and test a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) tailored to the New Zealand Auckland geographic risk profile, including earthquake and cyclone scenarios.
- Ongoing Support & Maintenance: Provide a 12-month post-implementation support window covering patch management, performance monitoring, incident response, and quarterly systems reviews conducted on-site in Auckland.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Deliver complete technical documentation, runbooks, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for the client's internal IT team based in New Zealand Auckland.

Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made as follows:
- 30% deposit (NZD $46,609.50) due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and prior to commencement of work in New Zealand Auckland.
- 40% milestone payment (NZD $62,146.00) due upon completion of the Cloud Migration & Security Hardening phases.
- 30% final payment (NZD $46,609.50) due upon successful completion of all deliverables, documentation handover, and client sign-off.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this period, pricing for the Systems Engineer engagement may be subject to revision based on market conditions in New Zealand Auckland.
- All work will be performed in accordance with New Zealand employment law, the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and applicable Auckland regional council regulations.
- The Systems Engineer will operate under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and will not disclose any proprietary information of the client to third parties.
- Any changes to the scope of work beyond what is described in this Quotation Estimate will require a written variation order signed by both parties before additional work commences.
- Meridian IT Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the Systems Engineer engagement, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, with jurisdiction in the District Court of Auckland.
- The Systems Engineer will comply with all site safety requirements at the client's New Zealand Auckland premises, including wearing appropriate PPE where required.
- Intellectual property created specifically for the client under this engagement shall vest in the client upon full payment.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate for the Systems Engineer services to be delivered in New Zealand Auckland. This acceptance constitutes a binding agreement between the parties for the scope, pricing, and terms as outlined in this document.
