Another traveler is preparing to wash his feet in a water basin at the entrance to an inn where he will spend the night. Information about the print series can be seen in the yellow cartouches inside the inn, which read "The Tokaido Picture\u2014Continued," "Engraver Jirobei," "Printer, Heibei," and "Painting(s) by Ichiry\u016bsai." (Ichiry\u016bsai is one of Hiroshige's pseudonyms.) The large circle half-concealed by a post bears the name of Takenouchi, the publisher of the Tokaido series.
